Citrix and Finanz Informatik Collaborate to Provide Secure Access for Core Banking Services Across Germany

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Aug. 21, 2026 – Citrix, a Cloud Software Group company, today announced that it is extending its existing relationship with Finanz Informatik (FI) for a further five years. FI is the digitalization partner and central IT service provider of the Savings Banks Finance Group in Germany (Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe), a network of public banks that form the largest financial services group in the country and in Europe.

Leveraging its use of Citrix ® technology, FI provides customers with a digital workspace platform. FI uses Citrix technology to ensure that employees of Savings Banks and state banks across Germany have secure access to the specialist banking applications of its core banking system, OSPlus. All data remains on-premises in FI’s own data centers to ensure the highest possible level of information security and IT sovereignty.

“Citrix technology has proven over the years to be a stable cornerstone of our overall architecture. Employees of the Savings Banks Finance Group deliver banking services every day via this solution for around 50 million customers,” says Marcus Schröter, head of end-to-end workplace at Finanz Informatik. “Citrix takes up further development requirements, such as support for iPad and Mac devices, and implements them in close collaboration with us. In this way, together we have continuously evolved the digital workspace within the Savings Banks Finance Group over many years.”

Through strategic acquisitions, including solutions such as uberAgent, deviceTrust and Unicon, Citrix is increasing the value it delivers to its customers. These developments further strengthen the relationship between Finanz Informatik and Citrix. In doing so, Citrix creates the foundation to meet FI’s long-term requirements for secure working environments.

“As one of the largest providers of banking IT services in Europe, Finanz Informatik’s trust in Citrix demonstrates the value of our secure work delivery platform,” said Jeff Basciano, senior vice president of global financial services Industry at Citrix. “We look forward to driving continuous innovation together with the Finanz Informatik team that will take them into the future.”
