Secure digital workspace technology is coming into its own. With an integrated technology work platform, IT professionals get centralized and simple management of tools, apps, and devices and a consolidated view of the entire digital environment. They know security is stringent but doesn’t impede productivity. For employees, digital workspaces make remote work and remote collaboration easy. They can access the resources they need — apps, desktops, and data — wherever they are, from one place, in a familiar, consistent format no matter the device.

Citrix Workspace gives employees and IT leaders the space to work and innovate. During our Citrix Workspace Summit, we’re featuring customers from energy, banking, disability services, online retail, and state government that are using the power of Citrix Workspace to deliver a great employee experience and achieve their business goals.

Centrica

Energy services company Centrica has an agile, highly-scalable cloud-first strategy that enabled its IT team to move most of its digital computing environment to Microsoft Azure, helping it respond effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now 15,000 concurrent daily remote users — up from the 2,000 per day before the pandemic — have the tools they need to do their best work.

The Centrica team sees its new remote infrastructure supporting its growing and more fluid workforce well into the future. However, enabling more remote work is only part of the plan. Cloud technology and Citrix Workspace will help the company to move toward carbon neutrality. Centrica is enabling customers to use low-power devices connected through Citrix, helping them to support and maintain all the energy-saving solutions they use at home.

On our Citrix Workspace Summit page, you can learn how Citrix technology is helping Centrica to power remote work and meet sustainability goals.

City National Bank of Florida

Time to market is crucial in financial services, especially for a regional bank like City National Bank of Florida, which competes with larger banks to serve communities and small or medium businesses. Though COVID-19 accelerated its digital transformation, the bank already had begun focusing on efficiency by leveraging technology investments and helping employees to learn new systems and processes.

When the CIO saw Citrix Workspace and how quickly and easily existing apps could be integrated, he and his team felt it was the perfect platform for serving clients remotely and growing the business. Citrix Workspace was an easy win. They could use microapps throughout the organization; reduce repetitive tasks to a few clicks; leverage data analytics from its business intelligence platform; and improve incident and change management.

Northcott

Serving 13,500 people with disabilities and their families and caregivers, Northcott is an Australian disability services provider that helps those with disabilities to reach their full potential. When COVID-19 hit, Northcott capitalized on its foundation of Citrix technology to enable success with zero-touch deployment and onboarding. And thanks to the technology platform, Northcott also launched technology-enabled programs to help the disabled better cope with home isolation.

Northcott focused on developing a secure, simple, stable, and sustainable network, and reducing IT spend to make sure every dollar counts. Now, within minutes, a new worker can be up and running on their device of choice, and technology is delivered based on how they work, not who they are. The team added Citrix Workspace to the mix and recently implemented a network-in-a-box concept, standardizing the network at each location to enable remote management. Northcott also implemented a range of security measures to support secure collaboration and mobility.

On our Citrix Workspace Summit page, you can learn more about how the Northcott team plans to embrace Citrix Workspace.

eBay

One of the world’s largest online marketplaces, eBay powers economic opportunity by connecting millions of buyers and sellers around the world. As COVID-19 forced many to work from home, eBay’s platform helped individuals, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and organizations of all sizes to use to connect with anyone around the globe — without leaving the house.

eBay’s IT environment delivers a great experience regardless of device, whether it’s a Chromebook, a personal PC, or even an eBay-provided laptop, and this is where Citrix comes in. With Citrix cloud services as the management plane, the eBay team can quickly scale up its hybrid IT environment to support the increase in remote workers. With end-to-end monitoring, the IT team can easily pinpoint problems with SaaS apps, Office 365, and Zoom for high-end video and audio. And the best part? The team has easy access to its on-premises legacy applications, too.

ODOT

With more than 5,000 employees and consultants (including 800 engineers), the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is an engineering-focused government organization that is technology-driven. Its IT department must ensure ODOT’s 13 divisions have the technology tools needed — mobile phones, laptops or iPads, field-specific devices, and more — to share data.

Over the years, ODOT had built an enterprise architecture geared to enable a great user experience, delivering any app on any device anywhere. To facilitate this, the team implemented two-factor authentication, license management, privilege management, and more. With a secure strategic foundation in place when the pandemic hit, ODOT was prepared. In a day, it had a work-from-home policy; in a week, 1,600 employees were productively working remotely because more than 95 percent of apps people needed were already deployed inside the platform. Citrix is now a critical part of ODOT’s architecture functionality.

See on our Citrix Workspace Summit page how Citrix Workspace enables ODOT to deliver a great experience to employees, no matter where they are or which device they’re using.
