As Citrix technologies continue to evolve with the landscape of IT trends and market demands, so have Citrix certification paths.

Citrix certifications are valuable assets for those in the technology field, as evidenced by Global Knowledge’s list of 15 top-paying certifications.

Four Citrix certifications were listed as top-paying certifications in the recent list, based on the 2014 IT Skills and Salary Survey conducted by Global Knowledge and Penton.

A revamped Citrix certifications program was introduced in October 2013 and new certifications have been introduced to help partners win rewarding, multi-product Citrix deals as they provide more holistic and robust Citrix solutions to customers. While getting certified requires dedication, training and fees, it certainly is a career move with proven ROI.”

By taking a solution-based approach, these certifications provide partners’ businesses with the breadth of skills required to plan, design, deliver and support end-to-end Citrix solutions. The certifications are simplified and streamlined to make it easier to achieve training objectives quickly and efficiently.

Four top-paying Citrix Certifications

1.       Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE) 

Coming in at  number seven on the top-paying certifications list is Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE). The CCEE certification is a legacy certification that proves expertise in XenApp 6, XenDesktop 5, and XenServer 6 and average (mean) salary is reported at $104,240.

CCEEs can update to Citrix Certified Professional – Apps and Desktops (CCP-AD). Other new certifications in the virtualization track include Citrix Certified Associate – Apps and Desktops (CCA-AD) and Citrix Certified Expert – Apps and Desktops (CCE-AD).

2.       Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix NetScaler

Number eight on the list is Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix NetScaler with an average salary of $103,904. Those with this certification implement, manage, and optimize NetScaler networking performance and optimization, and support app and desktop solutions.

Current CCA for NetScaler 9 certificants can update to Citrix Certified Associate for Networking (CCA-N) or level up to the new Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N). Professionals holding a CCA for NetScaler 10 certification will be granted the CCP-N certification automatically.

3.       Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix XenServer

Eleventh on the list is Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix XenServer with an average salary of $97,578. The CCA for XenServer certification is a legacy certification. Certification update information will be available soon. Those with a CCA for Citrix XenServer have the ability to install, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot a XenServer deployment, including Provisioning Services.

4.       Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix XenDesktop

Also on the highest paying list of certifications is Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix XenDesktop with an average salary of $95,094. CCAs for XenDesktop have the ability to install, administer, and troubleshoot a XenDesktop deployment, including Provisioning Services and the Desktop Delivery Controller as well as XenServer and XenApp.

Those with a current certification can upgrade to the new Citrix Certified Associate – Apps and Desktops (CCA-AD) or level up to Citrix Certified Professional – Apps and Desktops (CCP-AD).

New Citrix certification programs will continue to be unveiled in the near future as Citrix continues to develop solution-focused certifications that benefit organizations and individual IT professionals.
