Are you a coder, scripter or builder working with Citrix technology? Do you have expertise and experience to share with your peers in the community? We’re inviting you to submit your session proposals for Citrix Converge 2021!

Citrix Converge 2021

As the workplace has expanded from the office to homes, coffee shops, and beyond, our community of technical professionals is tasked with making resources accessible from any physical location and device while ensuring that access is secure and restricted to authorized users.

Citrix Converge 2021 is our premiere global developer conference, accessible to the entire Citrix technical community, virtually and at no cost. We’re looking for experts within Citrix and among its community of admins, architects, and developers to share their expertise and experience with their peers.

Please note, our definition of a “developer” is very broad and includes:

  • Coders, writing apps and integrations in programming languages such as Java or C#
  • Scripters, automating tasks with PowerShell or Python or implementing DevOps with tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Builders, delivering solutions using low-code and no code tools such as Podio and the Citrix Workspace microapp builder

If you create applications, scripts, or integrations with Citrix technology, whether you work for Citrix, one of our partners, or a Citrix customer, Converge is the event for you!

Converge will feature technical sessions from October 26-28, 2021, with additional business and training content on October 25, 2021. You can register to attend Citrix Converge 2021 here, but read on for details on how you can take a more active role in Converge.

Technical Sessions

We are looking for 45-minute sessions aligned with one or more of our three technical tracks:

  • Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Application Delivery and Security
  • Work Solutions

The Work Solutions track includes Citrix’s workplace products and technologies: Citrix Workspace microapps, Wrike, Podio, RightSignature, and ShareFile.

We welcome sessions that cover multiple technical tracks — for example, a session might explain how Citrix Workspace can take advantage of Citrix SD-WAN — and we will schedule sessions across multiple tracks as appropriate.

Sessions should focus squarely on the technology. Our audience comprises the technical professionals who work hands-on with Citrix products and services. Your goal is to engage, enlighten, and entertain your peers in the Citrix technical community.

Most sessions will be pre-recorded, but we will be able to broadcast some live. You can let us know in your proposal if you have a preference between the two. See the call-for-proposals page for more details.

We are particularly interested in technical sessions within the above tracks that cover one or more of our session themes:

  • CloudOps and DevOps
  • Security
  • The Future of Work
  • Citrix Partners
  • Students
  • Women in Technology
  • Sustainability

We’ll call out these themes in the session details and host corresponding live discussion areas.

Business Sessions

“Day zero” of the conference, Monday, October 25, will focus on the business of developing with Citrix technology. Here we’re looking for sessions covering topics such as:

  • Partnering with Citrix
  • Delivering value to customers
  • Digital transformation

Again, focus on delivering value to your peers in the audience. Marketing or sales pitches are not welcome in any track at Converge!

Submitting your Session Proposal

You can find more detail on the technical tracks, session evaluation criteria, and guidance for creating a great submission on the call-for-proposals page. Please note, you will need to create an account there if you have not already done so.

You must submit your session proposals by midnight Pacific time, Wednesday, August 25. Once you’ve submitted your proposal, we will review it along with the other submissions to determine the best mix of content for this year’s event. Expect to hear by Friday, September 3 whether your session was selected. During September and October, we’ll work with you as you create your content and prepare to present.

We’re eagerly looking forward to your submissions!
