Citrix Workspace is redefining the employee experience and last week, we announced the general availability of new features including an intelligent feed and personalized workflows designed to simplify work so employees can focus on their core jobs and be their best.

We all have these specific tasks and non-linear activities we need to wade through every day so we can focus on productive work, like writing and publishing this blog. Thanks to my personalized Citrix Workspace feed, I can now interface with leading enterprise apps in an intelligent, efficient, and unified way to submit a quick expense, request time off (yes, the holiday season is on my mind!), check a dashboard, and so much more.

Getting stuff done! Under five minutes to approve three expense reports and request PTO. Now to finish this blog!

Introducing New Citrix Workspace Microapp Integrations

At the heart of our recent announcement is the introduction of microapps. Citrix Workspace now offers out-of-the-box integrations with many of the world’s most commonly used enterprise applications, including Atlassian (Jira), Google G Suite (Drive, Calendar and Directory), Microsoft (Dynamics, Power BI and Teams), Salesforce, SAP (Ariba, Concur and SuccessFactors), ServiceNow, Tableau, Workday, and Zendesk. Together with more than 100 pre-configured microapps, new intelligent features are baked in, enabling companies to:

  • Automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks.
  • Extract the most pertinent tasks and insights from systems of record and deliver them in intelligent feeds to individual users on any device or channel.
  • Create single-purpose steps to simplify the execution of mundane tasks such as filing expenses, requesting time off and submitting purchase orders.
  • Build personal workflows around individual employees with context and insight so they can spend less time on menial tasks and focus on getting their job done.

Partnering to Enhance Employee Experience

Among the core set of microapps offered to Citrix Workspace customers is the integration with data visualization leader Tableau. The Tableau platform is widely used by enterprise customers as a powerful, secure and complete end-to-end analytics tool to visualize data. Within Citrix Workspace, employees can now search for records and receive notifications for new reports from the Tableau Platform.

“The real power of collaboration is consuming and harnessing your data in real time. The Tableau integration with Citrix Workspace provides our customers the ability to more easily access and unlock the power of their apps and data, all within the context of their business workflow. This helps our customers gain new business insights within an intuitive, unified experience.” — Brian Matsubara, Senior Director of Technology Alliances, Tableau

One of our newest microapp partnerships is with Zendesk, a leader in customer service platforms and solutions. Zendesk Suite is redefining the work experience and productivity for customer agents, administrators and customers. The initial Citrix set of microapp integrations with Zendesk will allow you to create and search for tickets and receive notifications for new tickets and change in status.

“Zendesk continues to work with industry leaders that enable and improve the customer experience. The Zendesk and Citrix Workspace integration provides a seamless experience for users with context of all work applications – providing more employee focus and helping to minimize complexity and distractions. Customers can gain real-time access to business insights and more easily and effectively connect with customers.” — Zendesk

With our new microapp service, Citrix is transforming your digital workspace from a place where you merely launch apps to a place where you can get your very best work done.

In addition, Citrix Workspace features new integrations from leading SAP applications including Ariba, Concur and SuccessFactors. Within their intelligent work feed, employees can now simply and easily approve expense reports, review purchase orders and request time off — all guided by Citrix Workspace — and without interrupting their workflow or launching a series of apps to complete routine tasks and entries.

With most virtualized SAP enterprise workloads running on Citrix, the alignment and integration of Citrix Workspace across core SAP intelligent suite offerings is exciting news for customers and resellers looking to deploy Citrix Workspace with SAP across any hybrid-cloud deployment.

These new Citrix integrations with Ariba, Concur and SuccessFactors continue our innovation with SAP. Citrix was recently honored to be introduced at the SAP TechEd keynote showing Citrix Workspace app integration with SAP Graph, presenting real-time data synchronization and information from a host of SAP intelligent suite apps. Read more about Citrix Workspace and SAP Graph from Andy Rankin’s recent blog, where SAP Head of Central Engineering, Jan Schaffner describes the Citrix and SAP partnership:

“SAP is pleased that Citrix is a co-innovation partner with SAP Graph,” said Jan Schaffner, Head of Central Engineering at SAP. “The integration of SAP Graph into Citrix Workspace will enable enterprise customers to experience unified and secure access to applications across the intelligent suite.”

Citrix Workspace will enable developers to quickly expand their Citrix Workspace microapp catalog across SAP systems and the intelligent suite of applications, including additional direct integrations with Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors and more. Citrix Workspace will soon become the one-stop shop to access and integrate your SAP apps and workflows.
