I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the benefits of layering — and not just because of the polar vortex this year. I’ve been reflecting on the tremendous value that comes out of multilayered learning experiences and how our team has been applying that concept to supercharge the agenda for Citrix Synergy 2019, which will take place May 21–23 in Atlanta, Georgia.

If that excites you as much as it does me, then a glimpse at what we have planned for this year’s event could help jump-start your own planning process to ensure your best Synergy journey yet (and perhaps mentally escape the cold, however temporarily).

Get a First Look at This Year’s Content

To get started, visit our Session Previews to sneak a peek at the more than 75 technical and business breakout sessions we’ll have available for diving into every aspect of the most sought-after IT topics, including workspace, networking, analytics, virtual apps and desktops, content collaboration and endpoint management. Like all Synergy offerings, including the various hands-on training opportunities and interactive Match.Geek sessions, Meet the Experts Theaters, and Fireside Chats, breakouts are designed to build upon each other so that you come away fully equipped to help your organization innovate faster, engage with customers more effectively, and just plain work better all the way around. Plus, they’re tailored to different levels of experience, so you’ll have no problem at all with starting exactly where you are to reach the next level of success.

We’re also putting a lot of thought into what truly matters for your specific role so that you can walk away with the tips, training, and information you need to immediately make a difference back at the office.

And with that in mind, I thought I’d share the sessions I’m most fired up about right now for each role, including:

  • IT professionals: Citrix Workspace: addressing the security conundrum
  • Executives: Future of work
  • Cloud prospects: Building your cloud/SaaS strategy with Citrix SD-WAN
  • Networking professionals: What’s new in Citrix Networking

As I mentioned earlier, the Session Previews page has more information on these and other session offerings so that you can decide for yourself what’s most aligned with your particular needs.

Master the Latest Technology with Intensive Hands-on Training

Another great reason to start planning now is so that you can reserve your spot in this year’s Instructor-led Learning Labs workshop. Scheduled for May 19 and 20, the workshop provides an ideal opportunity to dig deep into Citrix technology before the regular conference begins and to get to know some of the Citrix experts and other attendees you’ll be sharing this journey with in the days that follow. Each workshop includes up to three labs, focused on either implementation and deployment, or support and troubleshooting. Preregistration is required, however, and labs are already filling up, so I encourage you to sign up soon.

For those who can’t arrive early for this special training (as well as any of you who plan to attend the Instructor-led Learning Labs but wish to expand your qualifications even more), we’ll also be offering Self-paced Learning Labs. These cover topics presented in the Instructor-led Learning Labs and more, but for your convenience, they’ll be available on-demand every afternoon in Synergy Park.

Synergy experts will be on hand at the Navigator’s Reception on the evening before the main event to assist in planning out your schedule so you can figure out the best time to drop in for a lab without missing something critical.

But why wait until then to get a feel for what’s in store?

Go ahead and start shedding those winter blues now by previewing the great content we have planned for Synergy 2019, and keep an eye out for the full session catalog in March. Once that’s available, you’ll be able to search for sessions, labs, and events that align with your role, your level of expertise or area of interest, as well as by product category, for the best possible experience and maximum return on your investment.

I’ll let you know as soon as the full catalog is available, just as I do with all important Synergy news, so be sure to follow me for updates on Twitter at @merisummers.
