August was an action-packed month at Citrix. We kept our 90-day Synergy promise and delivered the new Citrix Workspace — which includes a new UI.

Since that achievement, we’ve debuted a number of enhanced features in Citrix Endpoint Management and Content Collaboration. We introduced a new service, Citrix Access Control, which provides increased visibility and control for SaaS and web apps. We also improved your remote employee experience and started proactively monitoring your Workspace environment.

Here are some of the highlights:

Introducing the new Citrix Workspace

On August 6, 2018, Citrix introduced the new Citrix Workspace and Citrix Workspace app. Our vision for the modern digital workspace fulfills the commitment we made at Synergy — to not only to talk about the future, but deliver it. Unlike our competitors, Citrix Workspace is more than a just a bundle of products; it provides a secure and unified experience for all apps, content, and devices for IT and users. By providing a new, streamlined experience, Citrix Workspace delivers consistency across all devices, simply and securely.

The new Citrix Workspace app incorporates over 25 years of Citrix Receiver technology and expands on those investments to deliver a comprehensive workspace experience, including access to SaaS, web, mobile, Windows and Linux apps, desktops and files to provide a comprehensive workspace experience from any device.

Citrix Workspace is a transformative product that improves working effectiveness and raises employee engagement and productivity. It helps organizations to retain and attract top talent by enabing them to work efficiently anytime, anywhere on any device.

Citrix Analytics — an essential pillar of Citrix Workspace — provides predictive and prescriptive insights spanning all apps, data, devices and network. Citrix Analytics applies machine learning to data across network traffic, users, files, and endpoints to identify and act on malicious user behavior and app performance anomalies. Delivered as a Citrix Cloud service, Citrix Analytics includes straightforward visual dashboards presenting findings that are easy to understand. This capability gives IT ultimate control over their environment. Directly from the Citrix Analytics panel in Citrix Cloud, choose “Launch Demo” and you get right into the security analytics page populated with user data, risk profiles, risk indicators, data sources, rules and more.

The new Citrix Endpoint Management offering

Bring your own device (BYOD) is a trend that only continues to grow. In North America alone, 50% of companies are adopting a BYOD approach according to statistics in 2018 reported by Jonathan Crowl in Mobile Business Insights. All these devices need to be secured and managed. Citrix Endpoint Management can help. Citrix Endpoint Management provides unified endpoint management (UEM) capabilities for desktop and mobile operating systems along with mobility apps like the Secure Mail mobile email client, and capabilities like flexible mobile application management, micro-VPN, and mobile device management. Citrix Endpoint Management also includes Citrix Workspace Environment management, which can help save money by extending PC refresh cycles. In addition, it helps improve manageability by configuring user-based policies for your endpoints to deliver a better user experience.

We are excited to report that Citrix Endpoint Management recently has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software 2018 Vendor Assessment. Click HERE to access the complete report.

Secure your SaaS apps with Citrix Access Control

SaaS applications continue to grow in importance. While companies strive to provide a seamless user experience — often with single sign-on — IT leaders also must protect their proprietary data. This is where the new Citrix Access Control can help.

Citrix Access Control not only provides single-sign-on for Windows, web and SaaS applications, but also, it provides controls to help prevent unauthorized disclosure of information stored in SaaS applications. Citrix Access Control is a key component of Citrix Workspace.

Collaborate securely in Citrix Workspace

It is a business reality that global teams share content and data between locations. Citrix Content Collaboration, available in Workspace Premium and Premium Plus, leverages ShareFile integration and provides a secure way to share, collaborate, and iterate anywhere on any device. By providing a single access point to existing cloud and other data repositories, Content Collaboration provides a central point for all content without the need for migration. Additionally, Content Collaboration is a secure platform for sharing content externally, and organizing and digitizing processes through workflows and e-signatures.

Citrix ITSM Adapter for ServiceNow is now generally available

We are proud to announce that the Citrix ITSM Adapter for ServiceNow is available. Citrix ITSM Adapter for ServiceNow is a cloud service that provides single point of integration between any Citrix virtual app and desktop and ServiceNow. The ITSM Adapter automates various aspects of virtual app and desktop delivery, improving experience and productivity not only for end-users, but also for you — our Citrix admins. With this new integration, that features out-of-the-box workflows, and APIs to create custom workflows, organizations can rapidly on-board and off-board employees, quickly provision virtual desktops or applications, and automate common help-desk requests directly within ServiceNow. You can read more in our recently published blog post.

Enabling a hybrid world with Citrix Provisioning from Citrix Cloud

We know that you may want to leverage the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service while running your virtual desktops and virtual application servers on-premises. Now you can leverage Citrix Provisioning with your Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops subscription to provision VDAs with the same functionality when using on-premises Delivery Controllers. With this new feature, you will be able to use the Citrix Virtual Desktop setup wizard (formerly XenDesktop setup wizard) in the Citrix Provisioning console and the Machine Catalog setup wizard in Studio from Citrix Cloud. Check out the product documentation for more details.
