Can you believe Citrix Synergy 2018 is just a few days away? I’m packing for Anaheim as I write this, and all the planning we’ve been doing for months is finally about to pay off. Even if you can’t make it in person, you can connect with colleagues for a viewing party or join us virtually on Citrix Synergy TV. We’ll be live-streaming the keynote along with breakout sessions all next week: get caught up in the excitement along with more than 6,000 customers, partners and Citrites! We’ll be networking, learning, and getting a close-up on Citrix innovation.

Opening Keynote

Live coverage begins with the Opening Keynote on Tuesday, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. PT, as Citrix president and CEO David Henshall shares the Citrix vision for the future of work, and shows how harnessing new innovations gives you more opportunities than ever to create meaningful competitive advantage. David will be joined by Diane Bryant, chief operating officer of Google Cloud, to discuss the integration of Google Cloud Platform and how our strategic partnership has evolved—and what that means for enterprise customers.

Next up, Tim Minahan, Citrix SVP of business strategy and chief marketing officer, will welcome customers to the stage to discuss how they’ve transformed their workplaces with Citrix. Chief product officer PJ Hough will demonstrate the pace of Citrix innovation—I keep hearing about how many patents were filed last year, and it’s incredible. And since the best way to show what’s possible with Citrix is through our customers, we’ll also hear some amazing stories as the finalists for the Citrix Innovation Award are featured. There’s so much to hear about what we’re working on, from what’s shipping now to what’s coming soon, along with some exciting demos and announcements you won’t want to miss.

Hot sessions

We’ll also be streaming technical breakouts live each day, and all of the breakouts and the keynote will be available on demand within 24 hours on Citrix Synergy TV. If you come to Synergy, you’ll also be able to access presentations from your My Account on May 21. We’ve been hinting at big changes coming, so I wanted to draw your attention to these sessions in particular, which best represent the Citrix story we’re sharing at Synergy. Here’s a highlight from each day:

SYN233: The geek’s guide to the workspace
Tuesday, May 8, 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. PT
It’s the ultimate guide to workspaces: how they give users access to their apps and data whenever and wherever they want them—but only the right users at the right time from the right location. Dan Feller and his team of geeks will explain conceptually how a workspace is architected, show you how major workspace capabilities function and how the components are integrated with one another, and share the latest workspace best practices and recommendations.

SYN128: Future of work
Wednesday, May 9, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. PT
Our own Christian Reilly, vice president of global product & technology strategy, will explain the Citrix vision for the future of work and share what you need to know to unlock innovation and stay on the leading edge of productivity in your organization. We are living in a rapidly changing world as broad adoption of new technologies transforms how we work and live. Successful organizations are focused on empowering the workforce with tools designed around its needs—unleashing their full creativity, bringing new talent from new places into the organization, and helping them work and collaborate more effectively. How do you manage the risk of harnessing new innovations amid the realities of legacy technology? With Citrix, of course.

SYN110: Identify security threats with Citrix Analytics
Thursday, May 10, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. PT
Data breaches have everyone’s attention, and for good reason. As companies continue to face threats from inside (including document exfiltration) and outside (including ransomware attacks), Citrix is using machine learning algorithms to detect suspicious patterns and automate actions to prevent security issues from ever happening. Join this session for an exciting look at how analytics can reveal threats and help you secure your organization’s most critical data.

There’s so much more happening that Citrix Synergy TV can’t capture, including interactive sessions, one-on-one discussions, hands-on labs and our incredible Super Sessions featuring Dr. Condoleezza Rice, 66th U.S. Secretary of State, and New York Times bestselling author Michael Lewis. Keep up with the latest news—follow #citrixsynergy and @merisummers on Twitter—and be sure to save the date to join me in person next year at Citrix Synergy 2019, May 21–23 in Atlanta, Georgia.
