We believe that the future of IT is distributed across clouds and networks. As more workloads move to the cloud and users require more SaaS applications, maintaining and securing those connections becomes mission critical. Users around the globe need reliable access, whether they’re at the company branch, at home, or on any other network. By improving network performance and security, IT gets the visibility and control they need while providing their end users with the experience they demand. And in today’s day and age, technology partnerships that combine the best-of-breed innovations can really help enrich the user experience as well as provide a robust IT infrastructure.

We talked about our Citrix Ready Workspace Security Program in a blog post last October. Since then, we’ve been working to build a partner ecosystem of trusted security solutions as well as SaaS and Web apps. We are enhancing Citrix Workspace by combining apps, desktops, and content users need to get work done. In addition, Citrix Workspace integrations with top security vendors ensure that your apps and data are always secure, no matter where they reside or how you access them.

In this blog post, we highlight a few key partner integrations that are helping solve important customer challenges.

Citrix and Microsoft: Partners in Creating the Future of Work

Citrix and Microsoft have a 30-year history of delivering joint solutions to our shared customers. With more than half a million joint customers, Microsoft and Citrix together are uniquely positioned and aligned to empower a cloud-enabled, mobile workforce.

In the identity space, we have seamless integration with Azure Active Directory (AD) across our product suite. The current Citrix Gateway service supports Azure AD for MFA, as well as on-premises AD for two-factor authentication using native one-time password (OTP).

With the recent announcement of Microsoft’s support for FIDO2 based sign-in with Azure AD, we’re excited to share that Citrix customers can provide passwordless logins to Citrix Workspace by leveraging this feature release from Microsoft.

Citrix Workspace and the Okta Identity Cloud

Enterprises increasingly rely on software as a service (SaaS) apps as a part of their IT offerings. Apps like Workday, Salesforce, Concur, Office365, G Suite, and many others have become fundamental and indispensable. At the same time, the move to the cloud is more than a simple migration to a different application delivery model. The average organization is also dramatically increasing the sheer number of applications they employ. In fact, the median number of apps per organization has grown 24 percent over the last two years. Citrix now estimates that the average organization supports over 500 applications. Despite the growth in SaaS apps, certain essential on-premises legacy apps show considerable “stickiness” and are likely to persist for years to come. Managing identity and access for these two distinct environments can present a considerable challenge. Learn about Citrix Workspace and the Okta Identity Cloud.

Citrix and Bitdefender Cloud Workload Protection

How can you combat a threat or attack if you don’t know it’s there? This is the challenge myriad organizations face as they seek to protect their corporate assets and those of their clients from increasingly brazen and devastating theft and cybercrime. Sophisticated data breaches are increasingly common, targeting organizations around the globe with stealth malware that can lie undetected for months — offloading data, stealing money, or tracking employee actions. Traditional scanning solutions are insufficient for modern virtual digital workspace environments and can compromise security, performance, and user experience. Citrix ADC, Citrix Web App Firewall, and Cleafy: Protecting Against Online Fraud

Online services are under constant attack by fraudsters using increasingly sophisticated tools. Expanding attack surfaces in the form of mobile platforms, open banking APIs, and online transactions present a vast opportunity for criminality. Compromised unmanaged user devices (endpoints) represent the weakest link, presenting a vulnerability to malware infection that can be used to attack online services. With a focus on early detection and rapid response, Citrix and Cleafy combine to provide an innovative and effective threat detection solution. Citrix Endpoint Management and Wandera Mobile Security

Mobile users are increasingly targeted by phishing schemes and other attacks. While traditional corporate desktop environments are typically well defended, corporate security strategies often overlook text messaging and mobile apps. Beyond merely managing diverse mobile devices, organizations need to the ability to proactively detect threats and attacks before they have a chance to put corporate data at risk.
