I can’t believe we just wrapped up Q1 of our new fiscal year here at Citrix and we are already into April. If you joined the Americas breakout session during Citrix Field Kickoff back in January, you might recall a story about my first swim class experience where I shared two fundamental lessons that are especially applicable right now:

  • To swim to our destination, we must constantly reach forward.
  • Always kick away from the past to propel us into the future.

Let’s propel forward together.

As the world around us continues to evolve, Citrix is evolving, too. We are making changes in our commercial sales motion so that our sales teams collaborate better with our partner community. You will see changes in how we go to market, how we engage, and how we collectively build a successful partnership. We are committed to helping partners have a more predictable business so together we can achieve our mutual goals.

Our commercial business practices are returning to their partner-first roots.

Actions speak louder than words, so let me explain how we plan to deliver on this commitment. Effective immediately, the Citrix Partner Community working with our commercial sales teams should expect:

  • Closer alignment at the field sales level, not only from a selling perspective but also a technical perspective
  • Account mapping, pipeline building and opportunity management collaboration
  • Better engagement on opportunities and joint strategy sessions
  • More involved support for partner marketing initiatives and demand generation

Channel partners are critical to our success.

Citrix has been a channel-focused company since our inception 33 years ago, and we recognize we would not be where we are today without our valued partners. The last few years have been challenging for everyone, but from an organizational standpoint (and for me personally), we look forward to a renewed commitment to reinvigorate the Citrix Channel. You can expect to see Citrix working differently at a field sales level going forward to better serve our partners, and together propel us into a mutually successful future.
