This week at Microsoft Ignite, in alignment with the Microsoft announcement of General Availability of Azure Virtual WAN, Citrix is pleased to announce GA of Citrix SD-WAN 10.1.1, featuring full support of this important new cloud connectivity service. Immediately, organizations running workloads on Azure can benefit from:

  • Simplified and automated large-scale branch office connectivity to Azure
  • Unified network and security policy management
  • Optimized routing using Microsoft’s global high-speed network

If you haven’t already read up on this valuable new technology, I encourage you to review the materials on our web site. As one of only two Microsoft partners to participate in the Azure Virtual WAN Preview Program that launched in July — and, in my opinion, the only one with an enterprise-class SD-WAN solution — Citrix has continued to lead the SD-WAN market. With Citrix SD-WAN 10.1.1, not only can customers optimize bandwidth utilization and intelligently steer traffic for the best user experience, but also they can have a solution that fully automates site provisioning and configuration. Even large-scale enterprise networks with thousands of branch offices can be quickly brought online, thanks to advanced automation, template-based cloning and zero-touch deployment.

Microsoft’s Azure network offers over 130 edge sites serving 54 Azure regions globally. With over 100,000 miles of fiber, this state-of-the-art network provides low latency, high-bandwidth connectivity around the world.
