Citrix is in the business of providing innovative solutions to customers at any stage of their cloud journey. Citrix has supported AWS since 2010, but over the past few months, Citrix and AWS have taken the partnership a step further — to expand the ability to deliver Citrix Workspace and Citrix networking solutions on AWS. Now, customers across the globe can more securely and seamlessly build out hybrid cloud deployments with some or all of their Citrix workloads deployed on AWS.

Leverage the full benefits of Citrix on AWS and Hybrid Cloud

With Citrix Workspace, and networking solutions, not only is Citrix an advanced technology and public sector partner, but also an AWS Marketplace seller. Citrix offers two architecture approaches for customers to deploy and deliver end-user apps, desktops and data on AWS:

1) A fully customer-managed architecture (traditional Citrix deployments) or

2) A Citrix Cloud services architecture with customers in complete control of the user environment while Citrix operates the underlying delivery platform as a service on AWS.

Citrix Workspaces on AWS – A new approach to end-user computing

Citrix has been working with AWS EC2 as a first-mover since 2010 (read more technical and historic background on Citrix support for public cloud and AWS in today’s blog post from Kurt Moody).

With the recent release of Citrix Workspace on AWS, users now get a seamless and unified work experience regardless of the type of app, device, network, or location used. IT maintains secure control and full visibility of SaaS, mobile, virtual, and web apps via a simple and integrated solution. This solution simplifies IT management and provides continuous insights via Citrix Analytics. It also reduces capex infrastructure costs by leveraging the full benefits of AWS.

Citrix Networking on AWS Marketplace

Citrix ADC and Citrix SD-WAN are fully compatible with AWS. Citrix has offered networking solutions in the AWS Marketplace since 2015.

With Citrix networking technologies and AWS, not only do you get the scalability of the cloud, but also, the full hybrid-cloud benefits of Citrix networking solutions — centralized control, security and visibility, as well as analytics for both cloud-based and on-premises network activity.

A great example of these capabilities was presented in the recent Citrix Synergy customer session “Discover the NetScaler and AWS Advantage,” with Flying J/Pilot Travel Center and Citrix networking Product Marketing Manager, Valerie DiMartino. Listen to this session to learn why and how a leading $20B highway travel services company is successfully running Citrix ADC on AWS. Over the last few months, Citrix has appeared with AWS at numerous events. We participated in AWS Summits in San Francisco, Washington DC and New York. Today, the Citrix team will be in Anaheim at an AWS Summit; join us at Booth #501. Next month, visit us at AWS Summit Atlanta. And of course, Citrix will have a big presence at AWS re:Invent in November.

Citrix was honored to welcome the AWS team to our own events, including Citrix Synergy 18, and a few weeks ago as a platinum sponsor at Citrix Servtech Americas.
