Microsoft Inspire is here! It is the biggest Microsoft partner event of the year and it takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, and yes, Citrix will be there. If you are a Microsoft partner in the business of helping your customers migrate applications to Azure, we have a lot to talk about. Please take a moment to visit Booth #735 to learn how the Citrix ADC and the Citrix networking portfolio can help.

In a separate blog post, we discuss how Citrix SD-WAN provides the application-aware on-ramp from your branch locations to Azure workloads. Here, I want to highlight how Citrix networking services deployed in Azure provide the way to migrate your apps to Azure and always provide the best application user experience for your employees and customers.

As you move workloads to public clouds you need a set of highly portable enterprise-grade application networking functions that reliably deliver applications to any user, anywhere. You need visibility, analytics and automation. You also need a licensing scheme that protects your investment as you transform your network.

Because of our software-first approach, Citrix network capabilities provide identical functionality whether deployed on an appliance in the datacenter or in a public cloud. Networking can be fully integrated with orchestration and provisioning systems wherever you deploy them. The Citrix network functions available on Azure include:

  • The Citrix Application Delivery Controller (ADC) that distributes and optimizes traffic to your applications and provides rich L4 – L7 application services including elastic load balancing, GSLB, content-switching, caching, SSL offload, and auto-scaling
  • A comprehensive set of security functions to protect your applications including Citrix Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Citrix Gateway, which provides the functionality to deliver consistent, secure single-sign-on and authenticated access to any applications and is fully integrated with Microsoft identity management.

At Microsoft Inspire we will be demonstrating:

  • The rich set of application delivery features offered by Citrix ADC on Azure and how autoscale works
  • How Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM), previously named NetScaler MAS, a cloud-based management and analytics solution, provides visibility and automation across your entire hybrid multi-cloud application infrastructure
  • How you can use global server load balancing domain-based services (GSLB DBS) to provide business continuity between your public cloud deployments
  • How you can use Citrix ADM Stylebook application templates to easily migrate complex ADC configurations from on-premises deployments to Azure
  • How Citrix Gateway provides single-sign-on and authentication for any SaaS-based applications; how it provides native authentication integration for Office365 Suite; and how it integrates with Azure multi-factor authentication
  • How Citrix provides a unique approach to licensing that allows you to simply buy the capacity you need and deploy it where you wish — on any cloud or any form factor – physical or virtual. And how this all ensures that your investment is protected.

There is a wealth of documents and tools to help you migrate your applications to Azure.
