Just in case it hasn’t been glaringly obvious, we are pretty passionate about helping our customers transform their business by moving to the cloud. In fact, if you go to the Citrix.com homepage, a pop-up appears for a resource kit for customers to learn about how to do just that.

But what about our partners? There’s a transformation that has to happen to them, too.

I’m not talking about them moving their workloads from their on-premises data centers to a public cloud, or using more SaaS products.

I’m talking about their business models, and how growing their subscription-based revenue has an impact their cash flow. Or their sales compensation plans. Or their marketing efforts. Some of our partners have already made the transition. Some partners were born-in-the-cloud, so this is a non-issue for them.

But for many of our partners, especially those that have been with us for years, it feels like a daunting task. There’s a lot that has to be addressed in order for a partner to have a successful, sustainable and profitable subscription-based business. This is where we want to help.

Citrix has designed a free 6-module series focused on business transformations successful partners need to go through to capitalize on this cloud evolution.

By the end of the course, partners will be able to

  • Understand the different business models along with the strengths and weaknesses of each
  • Assess their organizational readiness for deploying a cloud strategy
  • Identify the required changes in selling and interacting with customers in a cloud business model

Now, before you start thinking Citrix has gotten into the business consulting business, we haven’t. This isn’t an exhaustive, detailed, step-by-step instruction guide on how to change your business. Frankly, we couldn’t cover it all in an eLearning series even if we wanted to! Partners are at all different points on this transition journey. There isn’t one silver bullet that works for every partner. The purpose of this eLearning series was to make partners aware of and start thinking about what areas in their business they need to address to have a successful, sustainable and profitable subscription-based business.
