As you may have already seen across our social channels, our new office in Paddington, London has opened at 20 Eastbourne Terrace – and it was definitely worth the wait!

Citrix Paddington

Set over two floors with stunning views of the city, this space encapsulates our vision of empowering people to work anywhere and at any time. With a striking, clean, modern look, we’ve redesigned the concept of the traditional office to create an inviting space that offers a variety of flexible work options, from hot desks and boardrooms, to old fashioned red phone boxes for private conversations (a British tradition, of course) and lounge chairs for more informal meetings. A beautiful, shared roof terrace will also make for an additional workspace in the summer.

Naturally, technology lies at the heart of the project. There is no assigned seating, no PC workstations, and no traditional fixed-line phone infrastructure. Instead, all communications — including our video conference rooms — run via Skype for Business and a powerful, secure Wi-Fi network. All employees have their own device to work wherever and however they choose — on a sofa, at a desk or in a private booth. We’ve created a truly digital workspace, powered only by a WiFi network, that really showcases the Citrix workplace vision.

This is a centrally-located office for our sales teams, with a collaborative space and café on the 15th floor for our partners (there’s plenty of #CitrixPartnerLove) — and there is also an Executive Briefing Centre to showcase our products, solutions and technology to customers — including a fine dining facility for entertaining.

The building is a short walk from Paddington Station and Edgware Road tube station. It benefits from fantastic bus, tube, train and cycle connections to the rest of London, the UK and beyond, with interchanges for the London Underground, National Rail and the Heathrow Express. Paddington will become even more vital as a major transport hub when the Crossrail project opens in 2018.

The cutting-edge design is based around the concept of lines (and railway tracks), with wood flooring gently guiding you to different spaces and areas in the office — a nod to the location next to one of Britain’s busiest railway stations. Hi-tech materials blend with earthy ones to create a calm, warm environment, with a neutral colour scheme inspired by nature.

The project was led by MF Design Studio and all images, as beautiful as they are, are courtesy of May Fawzy (so please give credit where credit is due if you share them).

We hope to welcome you here soon… and, don’t forget to check current openings at Citrix UK here:
