Cloud transformation is certainly nothing new. For years, organizations in every industry have been developing a measured approach to cloud adoption — seeking a more effective IT operating model and a more efficient way to deliver applications and IT resources.

Yet, the recent global crisis has elevated the need for greater agility and scalability in every aspect of business. As a result, a growing number of companies are accelerating their cloud transformation efforts to prepare for the next inevitable unplanned event or opportunity.

In our Citrix Cloud Summit, customers from the energy services, healthcare, and software industries share their firsthand stories of their unique cloud transformation efforts, their lessons learned, and how the shift has helped them be more agile to ensure business continuity, keep employees connected and productive, and deliver improved service to their customers.

Centrica

Multinational energy services and solutions company Centrica has implemented a cloud-first strategy that has helped it scale rapidly when it needed to most. The adoption of Windows Virtual Desktop with Citrix Cloud services empowered Centrica with unparalleled flexibility. Today, they can quickly and efficiently give employees access to the tools they need to do their work, no matter where they are. And when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, they were ready and able to move thousands of employees to remote work and scale to accommodate them all, without affecting the end-user experience.

Cloud technology is also helping Centrica to reduce its carbon footprint. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated plans to move to the cloud and enabled tens of thousands of employees to shift to working from home. Leveraging Citrix cloud technology to scale remote work for its diverse workforce will be key to Centrica achieving its sustainability goals, as well as to ensuring employees, no matter where they are, have a great experience.

From delivering electronic health records to setting up a field hospital in a few days to serve COVID-19 patients and others, Mass General Brigham has used Citrix technology to ensure high quality health care in the communities it serves.
