It’s with great pride that I’m happy to announce that Citrix has been named to Working Mother magazine’s third annual list of the Best Companies for Dads. Citrix was granted this honor for leading in the areas of paternity leave, childcare, flexible schedules, and more.

Citrix is known for providing industry-leading paid leave for new parents by providing all parents (moms, dads, and partners) 18 weeks of paid leave to care for a newborn or newly adopted child. This is just one more way Citrix supports our employees’ work/life harmony and their growing families in one of life’s most exciting (and challenging!) times. This is in addition to the nine paid holidays and other paid-time off (PTO) from Citrix for family-focused time.

This was one of the reasons I joined Citrix six years ago. My family is a blend of biological, step, and foster children. And we are the caregiver of my 91-year-old grandmother, who lives with us. But no matter how my family grows, I know that Citrix is there to support us. I understand the challenges of juggling career and family responsibilities. That is why I am co-chair of the Citrix Parents and Caregivers employee resource group. My wife shares my passion for family, and she serves as executive director of a children’s charity in the Atlanta area. During the holidays you may see us at my side gig as a professional Santa Claus.

“Millennial dads continue to be outspoken about wanting to be involved parents and needing the support of their companies in order to do so,” says Subha V. Barry, president of Working Mother Media. “These trendsetting organizations strive to create an inclusive environment for all working parents, and we applaud their efforts in helping to erase the stigma attached to men taking full parental leave and utilizing flexible schedules to be more involved on the home front. By doing so, it helps moms succeed both at home and at work and puts them on more equal footing in the process.”

Citrix knows that growing your family is a big commitment, and the company helps employees get ready mentally, physically, and financially with resources such as wellness coverage and immunizations through our medical plan; help locating caregivers through our employee assistance program (EAP); and our health care flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) to help us save money tax-free to pay for eligible expenses, such as well-baby check-ups and summer camp. If you are looking for an employer that cares about your family as much as you do, I encourage you to join the Citrix team.
