Here is a recap of key points from the SD-WAN sessions, with links to watch the sessions:

Financial and Insurance Services Company Transitions to the Cloud with SD-WAN

PPS (Professional Provident Society) overcame the limitations of a legacy network and transformed it to transition to the cloud. Prior to SD-WAN, a new branch could take 90 to 120 days to get online and there was no real visibility or control of the network.

They needed a network that could provide stability and reliability in the cloud. With Citrix SD-WAN, they were able to realize a 12-month return on investment while improving the application experience for their employees and members — all while ensuring their business remains secure. To learn more about how PPS has improved its network, read the full case study.

Urgent Care Delivers a Great Experience in Its Clinics

Fast Pace Urgent Care worked with Citrix for a better experience delivering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops at a lower cost. They were paying for unused secondary connections while bandwidth demands continued to rise. Frustratingly, the secondary connections always outperformed the primary circuits but were unreliable for full clinic operations.

With Citrix SD-WAN, MPLS circuit costs were instantly reduced by 50 percent, and lower-cost broadband links delivered the same service level as dedicated high-speed services. What’s more, switching between primary and secondary links occured without any service interruption, even with voice traffic! Clinic setup time for edge network went from 60 minutes with only a 20 percent success rate to 15 minutes with a 95 percent success rate. This session also delved into the specific Citrix SD-WAN technologies that optimize delivery of hosted applications and desktops, as well as SaaS apps like Microsoft Office 365.
