The Citrix NetScaler Team is bubbling over with excitement!

Why, you ask? And we’re so glad you did! Gartner, Inc. has released its 2015 Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls and Citrix NetScaler has been positioned—for the second year in a row—as a Challenger!

Why is this such a big deal, you ask? It’s not just big, it’s downright huge! And it’s huge because it shows Citrix has strong secure-by-design solutions to help IT organizations.

Citrix portfolio of solutions protects critical business information while empowering workforce mobility, as well as protecting data privacy and reducing security risks for IT organizations. Two big parts of this are XenApp and XenDesktop—strengthened by the broad security features of NetScaler —which include its Web Application Firewall.

Meeting security-related compliance requirements is an increasingly complex job. Organizations must protect and control sensitive data while facing greater scrutiny from a litany of auditors, regulators, partners, and, yes, customers, so it’s more important than ever that they’re at the top of their games. Citrix security solutions enable IT admins to give users access, no matter where they are or what devices they’re using, to the corporate applications and data they need while maintaining the data protection required by IT.

NetScaler Web AppFirewall is a mature product that has been around for over a decade. What makes it a standout is its integration with full ADC features of NetScaler, such as load balancing, global load balancing, SSL-VPN, analytics and more.

So, to be recognized by Gartner as a Challenger in its Magic Quadrant has our whole team beaming with pride.

In addition to Gartner, customers also have the option of looking  at other analyst reports such as NSS Labs Secure Value Map (SVM) report to also look at other perspectives. The NSS Labs report shows NetScaler as a leader in its recommended list in their Secure Value Map (SVM), which is based on test results in Security, Performance, Reliability and Manageability.

Customers should look at both reports to see the complete picture of NetScaler’s Web AppFirewall strengths on scalability and SSL offload capabilities, and empirical data.
