The final countdown has begun! We’re now just a week out from what is shaping up to be the most exciting event we’ve hosted yet: Citrix Synergy 2019, May 21–23, in Atlanta, Georgia (and even if you can’t make it to Atlanta, you may want to clear your schedule for those dates … keep reading to find out why).

I cannot wait for you to come and experience the best that Citrix has to offer over these three powerful days. That includes getting up close and personal with the latest innovations that will move you to the next step in your digital transformation, and getting Citrix certified for free on-site. It will mean having the opportunity to directly engage with Citrix experts and get to some breakthroughs on your biggest IT challenges. And it will open the door to new and valuable connections with both thought leaders and peers through networking events such as the always insightful Navigators Reception, fun opportunities to help high schoolers compete in the latest Battle Bots competition, or to just unwind with some fair food and fun at the Final Night Party.

Being there and taking it all in is second to none, but knowing Citrix as you do, you’ll know that our 30-year journey has been about empowering people to freely and securely work anywhere and anytime they choose. The interactive environment at Synergy Park will give attendees the ability to live that experience, but if you aren’t able to join us in person, then you’ll definitely want to check out the Citrix Synergy TV livestream.

Coverage begins with the Opening Keynote on Tuesday with Citrix president and CEO David Henshall and executive leaders and continues with the most popular technical breakout sessions (you can view the full session catalog and featured speakers on the conference website). This year, we’ll also be live-streaming Thursday’s Super Session, “The Transformative Power of Teamwork,” featuring Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind adventurer to summit Mount Everest. All of this will be available to watch from wherever you are on your personal device, as well as on demand following the conference.

Here’s a day-by-day schedule of when to tune in for the live presentations:

Tuesday, May 21:

9:00 – 11:00 a.m. ET Opening Keynote

2:00 – 4:45 p.m. ET Technical breakout sessions

Wednesday, May 22:

10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Technical breakout sessions

2:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. Technical breakout sessions

Thursday, May 23:

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Super Session with Erik Weihenmayer

10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Technical breakout sessions

1:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. Technical breakout sessions

If you will be joining us in Atlanta, you can easily add these sessions to your Synergy agenda: just log in to your My Synergy Account, click on ‘Session Catalog,’ search for the session or program you’d like to attend and click ‘Add to my agenda.’ Similarly, if you download the Synergy Mobile app, which I highly recommend, then you can search for the sessions, speakers and sponsors you’re interested in and add them to your agenda or favorites by clicking the box to the left of those listings you prefer.

The Synergy Mobile app has a lot of other great features, too, which can really enrich your conference experience. Some of my favorites include:

  • Breakout session recommendations based on your role
  • 3D maps of the Georgia World Congress Center, with detailed guides for the Citrix Experience Center and Solutions Expo, so that you can navigate your way around with ease
  • The ability to connect with other attendees, view their profiles, set up meetings and network through the in-app chat, both before and during the event
  • GameOn! to compete against other attendees for points, game badges, prizes and, of course, bragging rights
  • A note-taking feature that allows you to highlight the most important points for quick reference
  • Push notifications so that you can keep up with all the latest event announcements

Swing by the Navigators Reception on Monday evening to learn more about the Synergy Mobile app and to get personalized support from one of the experts. I’ll be there with Synergy alumni, first-timers, Citrix Technology Professionals, and Citrix User Group Community members enjoying beverages and hors d’oeuvres, and I’d love to meet you. We’ll be in the Thomas B. Murphy Galleria in Building B of the Georgia World Congress Center from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., so stop in if you’re in town.

Check the Getting Prepared page on the Synergy website for more tips to help you get the most out of this event, and follow me on Twitter @merisummers to be the first to hear about important Synergy news. I hope to see you next week!
