As companies face the increasing pressures of digital transformation, Citrix partners are helping customers achieve real business value with Citrix Workspace. By addressing the key customer priority of delivering a great employee experience, which in turn drives higher productivity and better engagement, the solution is helping organizations of all kinds grow and succeed in the digital era. Couple that with people-centric security and you have a winning combination.
Meeting customers’ needs: Helping them deliver a better employee experience
Citrix partners hear it every day from their customers: Employee experience is now a critical factor in business success. With Citrix Workspace, Citrix partners are helping customers transform the employee experience wherever, whenever, and however people work. No matter what kind of device employees use, they can simply and securely access their apps, find and share information, and collaborate with colleagues around the world. On the back end, IT can make more flexible, efficient, and secure use of the cloud and evolve the IT infrastructure more easily, complementing the transformation enabled by Citrix Cloud services. All of it can be managed from a single dashboard.
At Citrix Summit 2019, we recognized three Workspace Partners of the Year who have delivered impactful results with Citrix Workspace. The experiences of these three partners illustrate the business outcomes customers are achieving today with Citrix Workspace.
Namu Tech guides customer transformation from virtualization to the future of work
A Citrix partner for 16 years, Namu Tech in South Korea has helped customers adopt waves of innovation, from virtualization to cloud to hybrid multi-cloud. Now, the company is positioning Citrix Workspace as the next step in digital transformation. “Citrix Workspace is an excellent model for customers in terms of cost savings and employee productivity,” says Chul Jung, CEO, Namu Tech.
While Namu Tech works at the forefront of innovation, its local customers are often more conservative in adopting new technologies. “Korea is relatively slow in cloud,” Jung says. This makes the company’s approach a useful example for other partners who need to bring customers along gradually. “If customers don’t go for the whole package in Citrix Workspace, we first sell them Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops so they can prove to themselves that it’s really safe. Once they’ve gained confidence, we show them how much more efficient they can become with Citrix Workspace while saving considerable time and money.”
Namu Tech has already helped numerous customers with Citrix Workspace, including a major insurance company that paved the way for others to follow. “The company adopted Citrix Workspace and saw an immediate impact,” Jung says. “That gave us a reference to share with other customers, which has helped us demonstrate the value of the solution and the use cases it successfully addresses.”
Bechtle empowers employees with a secure, managed, modern workplace
Bechtle (@bechtle_ag), one of Europe’s largest IT service providers, takes advantage of Citrix Workspace to meet the changing needs of its customers’ workforces. “Many employees are no longer tethered to a desk 9-to-5. They work literally anywhere — in the office, on the road, on trains, or up in the air. Wherever they go, their workplace has to follow,” says Roland König (@roland_koenig), managing director of Bechtle Munich and the group’s head of virtualization. “A younger workforce expects apps to be available instantly and securely, no matter where they are.”
Bechtle is currently working to design a new workplace infrastructure for a group of more than 50 hospitals across Germany. “We are piloting a new workplace design in the group’s headquarters,” König says, “and eventually we will roll out that same Citrix blueprint across additional hospitals so that they have a fast and simple way to deploy new applications with minimal cost and administration in every workplace they operate.” Ultimately, the project will support more than 45,000 employees using Citrix workspace technologies.
Meanwhile, Bechtle is also using Citrix Workspace together with Citrix Cloud services to reduce costs within its own organization. “We can support more than 11,000 employees across over 100 sites in Europe with only three Citrix admins at the controls,” König says. “At the end of the day, we are able to cut our operational costs by more than 70 percent.”
Presidio delivers a better way for employees to act on information
Presidio (@Presidio), a lifecycle-solutions provider of agile secure digital solutions, is helping customers support mobile employees more simply and securely with Citrix Workspace. “These customers wanted to eliminate restrictions about where their employee access was from, and at the same time, manage it as a single entity,” says Paul Stansel (@Pstansel), director of the company’s national end user compute practice.
One customer, a law firm with offices throughout the U.S., is using Citrix Workspace as a unified control plane across five Microsoft Azure regions. Another customer, a large manufacturer with points of presence across the U.S., Canada, South America, and India, is using the solution to manage multiple Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops sites. “Citrix Workspace provides a single pane of glass for visibility and control across multiple sites, while providing a common look and feel for the user without the need to worry about multiple different URLs,” Stansel says.
Like Chul Jung at Namu Tech, Stansel sees some customers who remain reluctant to move to the cloud. “For these customers, the conversation can revolve around other aspects of Citrix Workspace functionality like auto-scaling, security modeling, and analytics. The solution offers ways to win customers who might otherwise not see a benefit in going to the cloud.”
