Citrix lays the foundation for SASE

At Citrix our mission is to help organizations deliver a consistent and secure work experience no matter where work needs to get done — in the office, at home, or in the field.

Our digital workspace solutions give each employee the resources and space they need to do their very best work.  And our platform brings user experience, IT flexibility, and security together to foster innovation, resilience and business continuity — all while removing the limits of geography, devices, networks, and even clouds to deliver a better employee experience.

Cloud transformation cannot be complete without a solid WAN strategy and Citrix SD-WAN plays a critical role in the delivery of workspace solutions and cloud applications wherever your employees are working from. With workforces becoming more distributed and dependent on unpredictable internet connectivity, Citrix ensures your employees remain productive by enabling secure connectivity, with low latency and high reliability.

Citrix has been positioned or named for its Application Performance Optimization and Deployment Flexibility in the 2020 Gartner Critical Capabilities for WAN Edge Infrastructure. Citrix also scored 2nd in the Cloud-First WAN use case (3.96/5), which is a one of the use cases for successful cloud transformation, and ranked in the in the Top 5 for all Critical Capabilities use cases.

SD-WAN is an important growth area for Citrix, and as this market evolves, we will continue to invest and work hard to establish ourselves as a leader not only in SD-WAN but also in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

In a highly competitive market of 17 vendors that is rapidly evolving, Citrix SD-WAN is laying a solid foundation for the Secure Access Service Edge, as reflected in our new innovations of IDS/IPS, web filtering, and malware protection and our new SD-WAN 110 platform specifically designed for retail and work from home (WFH) deployments.

Remote work is here to stay, which means employee experience matters more now than ever. At the same time, enterprises are accelerating their cloud strategy to achieve higher scale and improve agility. Our customers are migrating virtual desktops and applications to the cloud, adopting SaaS applications and taking advantage of IaaS to build out new cloud native applications.

I am proud of the work our product and engineering teams continue to do to expand the scalability and functionality of Citrix SD-WAN in the areas of employee experience, multi-cloud and security, and I am confident in their ability to execute toward a Secure Access Service Edge. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
