Citrix Workspace SAML 2.0 support is now generally available

We are excited to announce the general availability of SAML 2.0 (Security Assertion Markup Language) for Citrix Workspace.

SAML 2.0 is an industry-standard protocol that enables Single Sign-On (SSO) by connecting SaaS-based applications and federated identity provider solutions.

SAML 2.0 allows administrators to simplify corporate identity management while providing a simple and secure user experience. With Citrix Workspace supporting SAML 2.0, you can seamlessly integrate users via Single Sign-On (SSO) with a broad range of identity and authentication providers, such as Google, Imprivata, Ping, and many more.

Through the Citrix Ready Workspace Security Program, several vendors have been tested for compatibility with Citrix Workspace SAML 2.0. Our partnership with these vendors also enables the advanced authentication capabilities that these vendors provide within Citrix Workspace. Some of the newer technologies that can be used include risk-based multi-factor authentication, passwordless authentication, contextual policies, biometrics, and many more. These, in combination with the Citrix’s security portfolio, allow organizations to deploy a superior zero trust infrastructure.

Microsoft Azure + Citrix SAML SSO

We are also thrilled to announce the new Microsoft Azure Active Directory Gallery Application for Citrix Cloud SAML SSO.

This gallery provides all the necessary components for SAML 2.0 integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Additionally, integration with Azure AD via SAML 2.0 provides organizations with greater flexibility for how user claims are passed during the authentication process, and permission and access management.
