The Citrix culture is built on a foundation of support, and it is important to me that our employees, customers, partners and communities feel supported as we all work through this global crisis. It is critical that we are taking actions to help drive our collective wellbeing during this unprecedented time.
I have two important updates to share as we work to accommodate the current situation.
Supporting Our Teams Through Our COVID-19 Response
While our hope is that our employees and their families stay healthy while they work remotely, we recognize that there may be situations where some employees cannot work for periods of time or cannot work their typical hours or schedules due to family matters or other extenuating circumstances
As such, we have extended our time-off and pay continuation support to help decrease uncertainty around COVID-19.
Effective immediately through April 30, 2020, any Citrix employee will receive 100 percent of their base pay if:
- They become ill due to COVID-19
- Their children or family members become ill due to COVID-19 and require care from the employee
- Their manager says the job cannot be performed at home, and they therefore cannot work
- They have children or family members at home due to COVID-19-related social distancing practices and are unable to find an alternate caregiver and fully work
In addition, we are formally notifying our vendors who provide labor to us, that we will continue to pay under our existing contracts through April 30, allowing them the ability to pay those workers during this same time period.
Building a Digital Future Through Citrix Synergy Digital
Yesterday, we announced that we are transforming Citrix Synergy 2020 into Citrix Synergy Digital, which will connect attendees to the latest product innovations, interactive trainings, best-practices, and hands-on experiences in a virtual setting.
This free, multi-day virtual event is still set to begin on May 19 and will bring the best of Citrix Synergy to an engaging, online experience. While I’m disappointed to not see everyone in person this year, I’m still excited to share with you how Citrix is helping to build the future of work.
We will continue to closely monitor this situation, following guidance from the CDC, WHO and other health authorities around the world, and we are committed to keeping everyone updated on the decisions we are making to better navigate our teams and communities safely through the COVID-19 situation.
