Session Insights Flex: More visibility, less infrastructure
When something goes wrong in a user session, most teams can tell you that it happened. Very few can tell you what the user did. The same blind spot hides the manual, repetitive work that slows your people down every day.
Today, teams fill that gap by hand. Security and IT piece incidents together from logs that record an application launch or a policy firing, then stop. Operations teams map processes by interviewing people and getting differing versions of the process. Both approaches are slow, and both leave the most important part out: what happened on the screen.
Recording sessions was always the easy part. Making sense of them is harder, which is why Citrix Session Recording is becoming Citrix Session Insights. Citrix Session Insights Flex, coming soon in preview for Citrix DaaS, applies that visibility to both problems. One protects the business. The other improves it.
1. Session context turns an incident into evidence.
Session Insights Flex shows what the user did inside selected sessions, so security, IT, and compliance teams can investigate incidents and answer auditors with evidence rather than educated guesses. If a contractor's session ends with a file transfer that was out of compliance, you can see the steps that led to it.
More evidence also means more to review, and nobody hired senior analysts to scrub through hours of recordings looking for one important minute. Optional, on-demand AI-assisted analysis will help teams find that minute faster. It's planned for preview Q1 2027, after the initial Session Insights Flex preview.
2. Session context shows which work is ready to automate.
Every company has processes held together by manual workarounds. Someone copies data between two applications numerous times a day. Someone else maintains the spreadsheet the whole team depends on. None of them is on a process map, and all of them cost time.
Session Insights Flex shows you that work. Operations teams can see where people repeat manual steps and which workflows are ready to automate, based on how the work is done rather than how people remember doing it.
3. You turn visibility on where it pays off.
This is the Flex part. Citrix runs the service, so there's no observability infrastructure for you to build or maintain.
You choose which users, groups, or personas get this visibility, and the service scales to match. Point it at a team handling sensitive data or a workflow you want to fix and leave everyone else alone. Heading into an audit? Turn it on for the finance team, then turn it off when the auditors leave.
You control policies, access, and retention, and customer-managed encryption keys keep your most sensitive recordings under your control. In future, it will also allow you to use AI to analyze the recordings for automated compliance alerting, leveraging the models of your choice.
