Previously, you had to navigate a variety of editions and add-ons to get valuable features such as WEM, PVS, or ServiceNow Integration. Likewise, there were countless variations of NetScaler features and capacity to decide on. We have eliminated all of that complexity, making all Citrix enterprise-grade capabilities available in two, value-driven platform-based offerings that include not just DaaS and VDI – but also the industry-leading capabilities of NetScaler for application delivery and security.
Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud: More Powerful than Ever
Last year we introduced the Citrix Universal subscription with permanent hybrid-rights. Now we are introducing the next evolution of the Universal subscription by adding full-featured NetScaler with plenty of throughput capacity for enterprises. We have even added Citrix Endpoint Management to round out your EUC capabilities. The new subscription is called Citrix Universal Hybrid-Multi Cloud, and includes Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Premium, Citrix DaaS Premium, 1000 GB of NetScaler throughput with unlimited instances, and Citrix Endpoint Management. Everything you need to address all your core application delivery needs – whether you’re using VDI, ADC, or both – is included in one, simple package.
With the new Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud, you have the capabilities to replace any VMware Horizon deployment in your environment, which many are looking to do given the uncertain future post-acquisition. In addition, if you have internet-facing web applications behind F5 or others, this offering can launch a consolidation effort and save on costs and complexity.
Benefits of the Citrix Platform License
I am also excited to announce the launch of our newest license: the Citrix Platform License (available by invitation only). The Citrix Platform License is for enterprises for which Citrix is a strategic part of their business and IT operations, and they want to leverage that foundation to expand into other use cases for the entire enterprise, regardless if they are using virtual, SaaS, web, or local apps: ZTNA, web browser security, advanced observability insights and more. In addition, this offering provides unlimited capacity for Citrix users and NetScaler throughput. This is our most comprehensive and flexible license we have ever offered, designed to create a partnership with strategic customers.
Not only does the Citrix Platform License include every capability that Citrix offers, but it will also include future innovations as well as acquisitions made by Citrix! Speaking of which, I am thrilled to announce that Citrix recently acquired uberAgent and the team at vast limits GmbH, extending our observability capabilities with additional data gathered from both physical and virtual endpoints, and full integration with third-party solutions like Splunk. This is a fantastic addition to the platform, with proven large scale deployments exceeding 250,000 users in a single environment and more than 1.5 million users worldwide!
In addition to the new uberAgent, the Citrix Platform License also includes:
- App and Desktop Virtualization: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Premium and Citrix DaaS Premium for the best enterprise app and desktop delivery platform for securing and simplifying hybrid deployments.
- Application Delivery and Security: NetScaler for high-performance application delivery with comprehensive security and end-to-end observability
- Monitoring and Insights: Citrix Analytics for Performance & Security for streamlined monitoring and troubleshooting across complex and hybrid Citrix landscapes end-to-end. uberAgent complements and extends these capabilities.
- Secure Access: Secure Private Access and Citrix Endpoint Management to increase productivity by providing a unified portal for all virtual and non-virtual apps.
Remember, with the Citrix Platform License, not only do you gain access to every feature, but you also get unlimited capacity. That means that you can complete the migration off of VMware Horizon and F5 without having to worry about procuring additional licenses. With Secure Private Access, you can also increase security by replacing VPNs with a ZTNA approach solution – all at no additional charge.

Can I buy Citrix Analytics, uberAgent, and Citrix Secure Private Access (SPA) as standalone products?
Citrix Analytics and SPA went end of sale (EOS) as standalone offerings on December 6, 2023, and can be renewed until December 2024. uberAgent maintenance renewal is available to current customers only. These capabilities are now built into the Citrix platform.
