Enable easy access to files, folders, with new Citrix Profile Management feature

Citrix teams are constantly working to find new ways to improve the end-user experience and further enable productivity from within virtual sessions. That’s why we are excited to introduce the new Enable OneDrive container feature in Citrix Profile Management! This new capability makes it easier for end users to access their files and folders, no matter which desktop they sign in to. Now, users can roam the OneDrive local cache in the user profile across different desktops.

Previously, users had to sign in to their OneDrive accounts when using different desktops, leading to frustration and lost productivity. On top of that, downloading large amounts of files from the cloud had the potential to take time and slow down work, while desktops without internet access made it difficult to access OneDrive files.

Using Citrix Profile Management to roam the OneDrive local cache delivers a number of benefits:

Enabling the OneDrive container feature in Citrix Profile Management is simple, and there’s no additional setup or maintenance needed. Admins can enable the OneDrive container policy and specify the OneDrive folders to store in a OneDrive container (a VHDX disk). For more information, see our product documentation on enabling the OneDrive container. You can enable this feature using the Citrix Profile Management group policy, the Workspace Environment Management (WEM) service web console, or the Citrix Web Studio console. See the following screenshots for the configuration:

Once the feature is enabled, users can immediately access their OneDrive files when they sign in to their new desktops.

With this feature, end users can access their files and folders no matter where they are, making it easier for users to stay productive. Maximize your productivity and streamline your workflow by upgrading to the latest version of Citrix Profile Management today!
