The Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 team works closely with our customers to deliver a flexible, secure and reliable experience. With Apple’s new macOS 11.0.1 Big Sur release, we are excited to announce Day 0 support for the Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 on the new operating system and have tested the latest release for the new Safari browser on the new OS.
We recommend that that customers upgrade to Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 20.9.5 version or above. For organizations leveraging cloud workloads, the newest version has already been updated in Citrix Cloud so you can seamlessly upgrade to Mac Big Sur OS on your endpoints and use Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 with the new Safari browser.

Citrix takes Day 0 support seriously. Whenever possible, we include support in our products, even before the OS actually launches. This means that releases like the Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 already supported macOS Big Sur betas.
With your feedback in mind, we are continuing to make improvements to the Workspace app for HTML5 that are compatible with your browsers. With each release of this app, we add more value while simplifying the user experience. That is why we recently released the following features.
Improvements to Audio Performance
We have improved the audio output for our Citrix Workspace app for HTML5. You will not observe any disturbance with audio output with Citrix Workspace app for HTML5.
Multimonitor Performance Improvement
We have also improved your experience with Citrix Workspace app for HTML5 multimonitor. What does that mean? We now support better quality multi-monitor experience with our HTML5 Workspace app.
Multi-monitor display is available for both desktop and application sessions. To switch to multimonitor mode, click Multimonitor in the toolbar, as shown in the below image.
