Start your Citrix Cloud Summit experience with an overview of innovations for a hybrid, multi-cloud world from Citrix CEO David Henshall and learn how we’re supporting a hybrid and multi-cloud model to help you to deliver the tools your business needs to get work done — in a secure and consistent way.

Accelerate Your Cloud Journey

IT organizations have worked the past several years to transition application workloads to the cloud and achieve greater scale, flexibility, and cost savings. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, that changed. Cloud has taken on new significance for us all.

The disruption has spurred an acceleration toward cloud, shrinking timelines to a few months or even a few weeks. For companies that were on premises only, it has seemed like a high wire act without a safety net. Those with a hybrid-cloud infrastructure simply altered the distribution between their on-premises footprint and the cloud.

Citrix solutions give you the choice to operate your on-premises environment and, over time, scale into the cloud at your own pace. Keep reading to learn more about our strategy and innovations and find our full strategy story and how you can accelerate your cloud journey on our Citrix Cloud Summit page.

Migrate to Any of the Major Clouds

Citrix has made significant investments in innovation both organically and with major cloud service providers to help you pursue your unique cloud strategy with ease and confidence.

We’ve focused on scale, to help organizations move to their cloud (or clouds) of choice quickly, manage workloads anywhere, on any infrastructure, and maximize on-premises resources. We’ve prioritized security, so cloud environments are as secure as on-premises. And we’ve emphasized reliability and performance to ensure a great end-user experience

Providing our customers with maximum choice has been a guiding principle. We give you the flexibility run some workloads running on premises, some in AWS or Google, and still others in Azure. We support your preferences for putting your workloads in the right cloud for you.

Google

We’re providing new capabilities for Google Cloud, including shared virtual private cloud and automated migration tools. These new capabilities will make it easier to move or spin up up virtual apps and desktops workloads on Google Cloud to take full advantage of their control and security features.

AWS

To help you migrate and manage your workloads with AWS, we’re making Citrix Application Delivery Controller (ADC) support available. With Citrix ADC on AWS, it’s easier to manage your app delivery from the cloud and move workloads managed by on premises ADCs to an ADC on AWS using Citrix ADM service. This is in addition to our recently announced support for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service support for VMware Cloud on AWS.

Microsoft

We recently expanded our long-standing relationship with Microsoft to help accelerate our customers’ cloud migration and automation. We’re leveraging Microsoft’s work embedding the Windows platform deeply into its Azure Cloud platform via Azure Virtual Desktop (formerly Windows Virtual Desktop) because we know it will help Microsoft customers and Citrix customers to get high-performance, high-scale delivery of Windows Desktop Services. Citrix delivers value-adds for Azure Virtual Desktop, including simplified and flexible management of your hybrid multi-cloud environment; enhanced security with real-time risk detection and prevention; high-performance under all network conditions; and improved monitoring with real-time actionable insights and individual user experience scores.

And it’s not just Windows workloads that we help you move. We’re also focused on migrating other workloads to Azure. On our Citrix Cloud Summit page, you can learn how we’re working with SAP to help you transition your SAP workloads to Azure for greater scale, efficiency, and access to new cloud analytics and services.

Automate and Optimize

With our cloud partners, we’ve prioritized supporting secure, reliable cloud migrations. We’re now working on new tools and services to simplify and automate that process even more.

By managing the control plane, Citrix shifts the burden of upgrading and management from customers, enabling them to stay current with the latest innovations and taking advantage of them in their own environments. Solutions like Citrix Analytics, autoscale, and Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) service help organizations automate and optimize cloud deployments, balancing cost and user experience while optimizing application delivery performance and security across a hybrid-multi-cloud environment. Learn more about automating and optimizing your Citrix infrastructure in the cloud and about automating and optimizing delivery of all workloads with Citrix ADM service.

As customers shift into a more established cloud presence, more capabilities come available. When a critical mass of your footprint is in the cloud, it opens the door to a new range of cloud services and capabilities in analytics, machine learning and A.I., automation and security.

Citrix is investing in the innovative solutions to help you succeed in your cloud journey, supporting the strategy that makes sense for you and helping you automate and optimize your hybrid multi-cloud footprint.

Simplify Your Migrations with Citrix Cloud Innovations

Citrix solutions are designed to reduce the complexity of your cloud migration, whether it’s part of a planned transition or an acceleration of your strategy to enable business continuity, remote work, or increased agility. Let’s take a quick look at some of the innovations we’re delivering to support your unique cloud migration journey. Learn more about each in and how our innovations can simiplify your cloud migration in our video overview on the Citrix Cloud Summit page.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Standard for Azure

Acting quickly to start your cloud journey can mean the difference between survival and success. To help, Citrix has extended our cloud offerings to incorporate a new Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Standard for Azure.

Formerly known as Citrix Managed Desktops, this solution is built entirely in the cloud, for the cloud. Part of every Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service edition, including Workspace Premium Plus, it’s  the easiest, fastest way to get virtual apps and desktops running in Azure, with a simple management interface and the ability to add Azure compute capacity, all in a single monthly or annual bill.

Citrix Support of Google Shared Virtual Private Clouds for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops

If you’re on Google Cloud, you probably have multiple projects in the cloud, each with its own network and security requirements that demand a virtual private cloud. Google’s shared virtual private cloud concept enables companies to connect resources from multiple projects to a common virtual private cloud network, maintaining tight control over network resources while avoiding any roadblocks to your teams spinning up the resources they need.

Citrix now offers support for Google shared virtual private clouds, enabled in our Machine Creation Services tool. It supports provisioning images in Google Cloud, helping you to migrate workloads with support of shared virtual private cloud quickly and easily. You can scale as needed, using Google Cloud Platform’s full capabilities, as well as its new built-in control and security features.

Citrix Automated Configuration Tool

The latest version of Citrix’s Automated Configuration Tool is now available. Designed to help automate the migration of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops configurations such as policies, applications, machine catalogs, it lets you put your Citrix workloads on the cloud of your choice.

Migrations can be daunting. The Automated Configuration Tool makes it easier for admins to test how their current on-premises configurations will work in Citrix Cloud services, reducing administrative overload and giving you automatic and customizable component updates.

The tool discovers and exports one or more on-premises sites as a collection of configuration files administrators can optionally edit, and then imports these files’ configuration into Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service. It also can be an essential resource to help you manage your operations, delivering value beyond migrations.

VMware Horizon to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Migration Tool

Customers with VMware Horizon on-premises want to make it easier to move those resources to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service. Our new VMware Horizon to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service migration tool automates much of the manual work required to manage this move, cutting your migration time and helping you to improve your end-user experience. Learn more about switching from VMware to Citrix.

Simplify Migration with Citrix ADM Service

You probably have more than just virtual app and desktops to move the cloud. Citrix ADM service makes it quick and easy to migrate delivery of these workloads from on premises to the cloud, or between clouds. A cloud-delivered platform, Citrix ADM service enables automation, orchestration, management, and analytics for application delivery across hybrid multi-cloud environments.

Using Citrix ADM stylebooks, you can move apps among Citrix ADCs anywhere in your hybrid multi cloud infrastructure. Citrix ADM selects all the relevant configuration files for the application, allows you to import SSL certificates and manually adjust the config, and in minutes migrates the application to your cloud ADC of choice.
