Citrix Cloud Monitor gives you superpowers!

I’m an ardent fan of DC comics, and just the names of characters bring back memories of when I was younger and thoroughly enjoyed reading comic books. Did you know that many of the most popular comic book characters today are ripoffs of characters who already existed? Marvel and DC characters have been complementing each other perfectly decades. Wondering what these superheroes have to do with Citrix? Keep reading.

You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out this one. We all know that Clark Kent is Superman, and that Bruce Wayne is Batman. But unlike Superman or Batman, Citrix Director doesn’t bother with a secret identity. Citrix Director on-premises just puts on its cape to become Citrix Cloud Monitor.

Control and Monitor Virtual Desktops and Applications

For those of you who are new to Citrix Director, it’s a management console in the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops virtualization platforms that enables administrators to control and monitor virtual desktops and applications.

Considering the inevitable shift to the cloud, there has been an increase in adoption of Citrix Cloud services. An industry survey revealed that 45 percent of Citrix customers are considering using Citrix Cloud services. Though adoption is in an early phase, there’s a lot of interest in Citrix Cloud because of its simplicity.

Citrix Cloud simplifies management and maintenance of Citrix components by adopting a hybrid-cloud approach, where many core Citrix components are hosted and managed by Citrix and Citrix customers deploy only the Virtual Apps servers and Virtual Desktops VMs. With secure, anywhere connectivity, uptime assurance of 99.5 percent and global support teams, Citrix Cloud ensures seamless access to apps and desktops.

But are you wondering whether administrators can monitor and troubleshoot applications and sessions deployed on Citrix Cloud? Check out the superhuman-like powers that Citrix Cloud Monitor (aka Citrix Director) gives administrators:

To access Citrix Cloud Monitor, log in to Citrix Cloud and navigate to XenApp and XenDesktop service profile by selecting a particular customer and you can see “monitor,” which is simply Citrix Director on XenApp and XenDesktop Service in Citrix Cloud.
