Behind the Scenes of Major League Baseball® and Citrix

When we go to a baseball game, we’re probably thinking about cheering for our favorite team, what we’re going to buy at the concession stand, or if we’re going to be lucky enough to catch a foul ball (or better yet, a home run). But there’s a lot of work that happens behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly and fans enjoy the game. For Major League Baseball (MLB) and its 30 Clubs, IT plays an important role in ensuring a great experience for spectators and employees. Chief Information Security Officer Neil Boland joins us to tell us more on how MLB is utilizing Citrix to support their teams.

Neil Boland is responsible for the League’s cyber defense strategy, operations, and incident response efforts. Working closely with the Clubs, Neil and his team have built a comprehensive and innovative cyber program, MLB CSI (Cyber Security Initiative) to help protect League and Club brands, assets, and staff from cyberattacks.

Neil also leads MLB's Technology Services organization, which is responsible for technology strategy and operations for MLB users and events.
