Fortune: Quit Tapping Your Phone. Amazon Thinks You'll Talk to the Smart Home

Last week, Amazon announced its latest device, Echo, which allows people to control their home appliances through voice commands. Amazon has been working with a number of companies to make Echo an enjoyable customer experience and a true success, including Scout Alarm, The Orange Chef, Dragon Innovation, and Citrix for its Octoblu technology. In this article from Fortune, reporter Stacey Higginbotham summarizes her recent conversations about Octoblu with Geir Ramleth and Chris Matthieu, director of IoT engineering at Citrix: "Now, with official support, Octoblu engineers are building voice commands in the Echo so office workers can tell Alexa (Echo’s version of Siri) to open a conference call or tell workers what’s on their calendar. Citrix is also working with Fortune 500 customers to link their offices and services to the Echo.”
