Fixed Issues

• When you configure threshold in Analytics > Settings > Thresholds for Web insight, Citrix ADM does not send email notification even after the threshold value has exceeded.

• In Clients and Applications Web Insight, the filter do not apply the selected SSL details in the request parameter.

• The analytics data does not appear if the following conditions are met:

• The mas_service process consumes high memory if the following conditions are met:

  - Enabled database cache.

  - Access high number of analytics reports.

Applications

• In App Summary Panel, under Applications > App Dashboard, the application metrics graphs appear distorted on the browser. This issue occurs when you resize the browser window.

High Availability

• After you break and rejoin an ADM high-availability pair, the SNMP and syslog configurations for the secondary ADM do not clear from the ADC instances. Therefore, ADC instances send traffic to the HA pair and separately to secondary ADM. As a result, the data duplicates appear in ADM.

• After a Citrix ADM high-availability failover, the communication between the high-availability nodes fail. This issue causes split-brain and recovery in the high-availability deployment. As a result, the Citrix ADM software fails to check-out ADC licenses.

• In ADM high-availability deployment, the System > Deployment page displays the secondary node status as “Out of Service”. This issue occurs when you scan primary or secondary node using the Nmap security tool.

Licenses

• License status does not update in the ADM GUI for a few devices even after synchronization is successful between ADM and the instance. This issue occurs if a third-party messaging library becomes unresponsive.

Networks

• In the Configuration Jobs page, if you do the following actions:

  1. Select Instance from the Configuration Source list.

  2. Select the configuration by time duration option.

  The blank spaces in the configuration commands incorrectly appear as “%20”.

• If a Citrix ADC instance is managed through an agent, the ADM software does not generate events and syslogs for that instance.

• After you upgrade Citrix ADM, the Export Schedule option does not work for the pre-existing jobs in Citrix ADM.

• The Networks > Network Functions > Content Switching Virtual Servers page only displays the default load-balancing virtual server bound to a content-switching virtual server. This page does not display the load-balancing virtual servers bound by a content switching policy or an action.

• If you create an event rule with the send trap action, the event subsystem fails. This issue occurs when ADM receives the events that match the event rule.

• When you export an Audit Log report in CSV format, the report appears blank.

• The scheduled configuration job executes at the scheduled time even if it is in the draft state.

• In the ADM GUI, in Networks > Events > Rules > Add, under Advanced Filters, when you select Filter by Message, the command mentioned on the helptip is incorrect.

• The configuration job template process incorrectly if the possible values have comma in choice variables.

• The configuration subsystem crashes rarely when the ADM database is accessed during the configuration audit.

• If an exception occurs during the configuration audit polling, the ns.conf file fails to update. This issue persists in the successive polls and prevents the ns.conf file update.

• If you use jobs to upgrade instances, you can perform prevalidation checks on instances before upgrade. After you've removed the instances that have failed the prevalidation check, and if no other instances are left, when you click Next, ADM continues to upgrade the removed instances. After some time, ADM reports upgrade failure with an error message.

  With this fix, when you click Next, the following message appears:

  “All instances have been removed. Please add instance to proceed.”

• If ADM orchestration fails, Citrix ADM executes the netstat command to check the status of the orchestration services infinitely. As a result, the startup script consumes high CPU memory to run the netstat command. With this fix, the netstat command check for the status only for 10 minutes.

• When you create a member on OpenStack Lbaas using ADM orchestration, the member creation fails on OpenStack intermittently. This issue happens when a proxy request from ADM to orchestration services times out after 30 seconds.

  With this fix, the request timeout for orchestration APIs has increased to 120 seconds.

StyleBooks

• From this release, StyleBooks support “nodefaultbindings” for load-balancing, content-switching, and authentication virtual servers.

• SSO login from Citrix ADM to Citrix ADC does not work as expected.

• If you attach an ADM agent to the managed ADC instances, SNMP trap destination does not change from ADM to agent.

• The connection times out between ADM and an instance if SSH login takes more than 15 seconds. Ensure to increase the timeout duration using the following command in the /mps/mas_config.properties file:

  ssh_connection_timeout = <timeout-duration>

  After you increase the timeout duration restart the masd process. You can set the timeout duration up to 60 seconds.

• An SDX appliance fails to restore when you use the backed-up file from Citrix ADM. With this fix, the Repackage status is displayed on the Execution History page.

  The Total Violations report in Security Insight displayed the attack time as “NA” if the selected duration is more than one hour. If you choose “1 Week” or “1 Month,” all attacks are aggregated and the attack time is displayed in one-day range.

  You can now assign the same license to both Citrix ADM license servers that are deployed in high availability. This is possible because the host id of the primary server is configured as the virtual host id of the secondary server whenever failover happens. Therefore, the license recognizes the same host id on both servers and gets assigned to both servers.

  You can now allow only authorized users to perform GSLB configuration using StyleBooks as RBAC is currently supported on GSLB domains also.

  Citrix ADC Citrix ADM now supports a new entity called “DNS Domain Name.” In Citrix ADC Citrix ADM, navigate to Networks > DNS Domain Name and add the DNS domain names entries. Navigate to System > User Administration > Groups. Define RBAC settings for a user group on selected domain names from the available list of domain names.

  This RBAC setting applies to your users when they are trying to configure GSLB using StyleBooks. The users can use only one or more DNS Domain Names that they are authorized to use.

• Configurable auto license support for non-addressable virtual servers

  Citrix ADC Citrix ADM, by default, does not automatically apply licenses to non-addressable virtual servers. For licensing non-addressable virtual servers, you must disable the auto-license option and manually select the non-addressable virtual servers. This increases your effort to manually select the non-addressable servers initially when you apply the licenses, and also when you need to select the new non-addressable virtual servers whenever they are added to your network.

  The new option in Citrix ADC Citrix ADM under Networks > Licenses > System Licenses is “Auto-select non-addressable Virtual Servers.” Enabling this option now allows you to explicitly specify that the licensing should include non-addressable virtual servers also. • Support for the autoscaling of Citrix ADC instances deployed in AWS

  The Citrix ADM autoscaling feature now supports provisioning and autoscaling of Citrix ADC instances in AWS. The Citrix ADM collects statistics (CPU usage, memory usage, throughput) from the autoscale provisioned clusters. These statistics are evaluated against the customer-configured value. Depending on whether the statistics exceed the maximum threshold or are operating below the minimum threshold, scale-out or scale-in is triggered respectively.

  The advantages of the autoscaling features are:

  - Ensures that the application is up and running all the time irrespective of traffic demands.

  - Citrix ADC instances are added and removed dynamically making to a zero-touch manual configuration.

  - DNS management is automatic.

  - Enables better cost management.

  To use the autoscale feature, you must create a site, an agent, autoscale groups and then deploy the application using StyleBooks.

  A few modifications have been made in the pooled licenses page in Citrix ADC Citrix ADM for Citrix ADC VPX instances. A new set of states have been introduced while you allocate licenses in the license pool to Citrix ADC instances on demand. The states are as follows:

  -Grace

  -Sync in progress

  -Partially allocated

  In the OpenStack orchestration workflow, Citrix ADC instances are dynamically bound to the load balancer or client networks and member or server networks. In certain deployments servers are also reachable through client networks and can be routed through the client gateway. In such cases, the Citrix ADC instances need not be bound to server networks, but they need to be bound only to client networks. Citrix ADC Citrix ADM then configures the Citrix ADC instance to client networks by adding a SNIP in that network, and will further add a default route to the client network gateway. • Improvements to Citrix ADC Citrix ADM user interface

  Citrix ADC Citrix ADM user interface has been updated to help you accomplish your tasks more easily and conveniently. Some of the major changes that you will see are as follows:

  • Some of the action buttons have been repositioned.

  • The instances overview page is removed. Citrix ADC VPX, MPX, CPX, SDX instances are now grouped under Citrix ADC page, and you can access them as different tabs. Similarly, Citrix ADC SD-WAN WO and SE/EE instances are grouped.

  • On SSL Dashboard page, SSL Audit trails has been renamed as "SSL Audit Logs."

  • On Network Functions page, "virtual servers, services, service groups, and servers" sub nodes now appear as tabs for each selected network functions such as Load Balancing, Content Switching, Cache Redirection, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), Authentication, and Citrix Gateway.

  • You can now create IP blocks by navigating to Analytics > Settings > IP Blocks.

  • A table can spill over to multiple pages because Citrix ADC Citrix ADM displays only a definite number of row entries that you have selected in one page. Earlier you were able to sort row entries only on the current page. The other pages never displayed sorted entries. You can now sort the table in any page, and all the pages of that table will display the sorted results.

  Citrix proactively collects statistics on your ADM deployments to understand your deployment usage and deployment scale. • Change in system default settings

  From this release, the following system settings have changed:

  - All the ADM system events are enabled by default. This change helps you avoid missing out enabling any required events.

  - Citrix ADM recommends you to configure system notifications. If there are no system notifications configured, Citrix ADM displays a warning message on the home screen.

  The system notifications help you to receive alerts on email, SMS, or Slack channel for system events. To configure the system notification, click Configure Now on the warning message.

  - The diskUtilizationHigh alarm default is set to 50. The changed threshold gives you more time to address the high disk usage issue. Previously, the default threshold was 80. Navigate to System > Alarms to view and edit the system alarms.

  - Citrix ADM stops processing the Citrix ADC traffic if the disk usage reaches 80% and above. In Citrix ADM, Syslog servers, SNMP, and analytics stop working. This change is made to avoid system failures. After you resolve the disk usage issue, ADM resumes to process the ADC traffic.

  Note: After the upgrade, all previously configured settings change to the default settings; however, you can reconfigure them if needed.
