Citrix and Google Cloud are longtime partners, and as we’ve moved into this new chapter of work — “The Remote Work Era” — our partnership has only grown stronger. From integrations with Chrome OS, to the ability to leverage Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) on Google Cloud Platform (announced at our Summit Series), we are evolving together to bring the best experience to our customers.
That’s why we are incredibly excited to announce that we are officially a Chrome Enterprise Recommended partner! Chrome Enterprise Recommended is Google’s partner program for third-party solutions that are verified as meeting technical and support standards for Chrome OS. This program enables best-of-breed solutions to lead the way in the future of computing. Let’s take a closer look at what this partnership means.
What does this mean for Citrix?
What started with Citrix Receiver becoming the first enterprise app on Chrome OS in 2011, has now evolved into Citrix being part of Chrome Enterprise Recommended. Yet another step in the strengthening partnership of Citrix and Google. Citrix products are specifically verified to meet all the Chrome Enterprise Recommended criteria and are optimized for each product. This program is a tangible example of our commitment to deliver the best possible solutions to our customers and uphold a standard of excellence when it comes to support.
What does this mean for Citrix + Google customers?
The most important players in this partnership are our customers. Both current and future customers that leverage Citrix with Google Chrome OS products and devices are ensured the best possible delivery and support.
Chrome OS has become a popular offering for both our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops users as well as organizations leveraging Citrix Endpoint Management. In this era of remote work, Chrome device deployment has become even more widespread. Leveraging Citrix Workspace with Chrome OS and Chrome devices has enabled organizations to securely deliver all resources and data users need, regardless of location and network connection.
Being part of Chrome Enterprise Recommended strengthens Citrix’s commitment to offering support for the latest Google products. We are continuing to add features and capabilities to our Citrix Workspace app for Chrome OS to improve the admin and user experiences. We also optimize Citrix resources that are accessed through a Chrome browser to enable secure, anywhere access, regardless of device.

Citrix Endpoint Management continues to incorporate new capabilities to manage and secure your Chrome device deployments alongside all your other endpoints. In addition to the performance and security features that Chrome OS provides, Citrix can layer on capabilities like endpoint provisioning and configuration controls, OS update controls, app management and distribution for pushing critical corporate applications to the device, and more. IT can also apply policies only to corporate applications for employee-owned devices.

The Chrome Enterprise Recommended designation further strengthens our partnership with Google and enables us to continue to grow and innovate together.
