They say that in order to look to the future, you need to look at where you came from. And that is exactly what I’ve been doing as I reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had with our partners at Amazon Web Services (AWS). I can’t help but think that despite our world being turned upside down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we still managed to continue to build on our strong relationship and deliver solutions that not only ensured businesses carried their operations on as smoothly as possible, but that also enhanced our customers’ experience and their employees’ success.
Taking a stroll down memory lane, we have had many moments in 2020 that we are proud of, and that I wanted to highlight here. For example, being able to sit down with our customer Aria Systems during the Accelerate Hybrid Cloud Application Delivery with Citrix ADC on AWS webinar enabled us to learn how Citrix ADC on AWS has helped them boost scalability and performance and gave us insight into how using Citrix Web App Firewall on AWS protects their apps from the OWASP Top 10 security threats, including SQL injection, cross-site scripting, buffer overflow, and other emerging threats.
Citrix earning recognition from AWS for our digital workspace expertise was also a key moment in 2020. The AWS Digital Workplace Competency differentiates Citrix and demonstrates our experience helping customers work securely on virtually any device, from any location, at any time. Companies like Rain for Rent use Citrix solutions on AWS to offer secure access to apps and data regardless of time, network, device, or work location. The AWS Digital Workplace Competency helps customers find highly specialized AWS Partners offering solutions on AWS that help them effectively support remote workers and business continuity. It also earned us this pretty cool plaque.
Remember back in September when we announced that Citrix had achieved AWS Outposts Ready designation? Well, not only is Citrix ADC part of that designation, but just a few days ago we also announced that Citrix SD-WAN has been validated for AWS Outposts, too! Now, you can deploy your Citrix SD-WAN virtual appliance (VPX) in the AWS Cloud and on premises and enjoy the same AWS VPC experience across your entire environment. This translates into Citrix being able to continuously deliver the best user experience and security for your workload on premises and on AWS.
Fast forward to today. We are excited to announce Citrix SD-WAN support for the new AWS Transit Gateway Connect feature as mentioned during AWS’s re:Invent session AWS networking: A global network for every workload. We are particularly excited about this announcement for our customers because now their experience of moving their secure, reliable network will be better and easier than ever before! Be sure to read our announcement blog post and check out the session by registering for re:Invent here.
With all the work we have accomplished in 2020, I cannot help but feel our collaboration with AWS will only continue to blossom in 2021. Learn more about the Citrix and AWS partnership at Citrix.com/aws.
