Are you looking for granular roles for your admins in Citrix Monitor so they can solve session and machine management use cases in Citrix Cloud?
If so, here’s some good news for you. Now, there’s a new, Built-in Session Admin role available so you can assign granular, role-based access to the Filters page in Citrix Monitor. This enables you to search for user sessions and machines and perform session and power management operations
What Does This Mean?
Citrix administrators need different levels of roles to manage Citrix Monitor efficiently. This feature will help you to solve session and power management use cases from the Filters Page, enabling you to choose the appropriate roles for your administrators. The new Built-in Session Admin role has the following permissions available:
- View Filters page Machines only
- View Filters page Sessions only
Assigning Built-in Role for a Citrix Cloud Administrator
To use this new feature, existing administrators with full access just need to follow these steps:
- Sign in to Citrix Cloud. (Or sign up today if you haven’t already!).
- To view the new Built In Role, go to Manage tab -> Administrators.
View the permissions available with this role:
- Go to Identity and Access Management.
- Add or edit the administrator access by choosing Custom access with the new Session Administrator Role defined in Citrix Studio.
- That’s it! Now you have everything you need. Next, just go to the Monitor tab to view the new Session Admin role-based Filters.
Voila! Admins can now view just the relevant information, with search options for the required user sessions and machines so they can perform power management and session control operations.
