Improving employee experience and productivity is one of the key challenges in the modern workplace. And the fact that employees are working in an environment cluttered by (legacy) apps, SaaS solutions, processes, and tools makes this difficult to do.

Enter Citrix Workspace. With its microapp capabilities, Citrix Workspace cuts through the digital distractions that dominate the work place and streamlines workflows so that people can focus on the meaningful work they need to do and perform at their best.

Valuable and high-impact microapps depend on integrations. And we’ve released several out-of-the-box integration features that our customers, partners and community of developers can use to build microapps that support their businesses, drive productivity, and make a positive impact on employee experience.

Push API: webhook listeners

If we had to pick our favorite from our most recent release, it would be webhook listeners. This was one of the most requested features at our Citrix Converge developer conference and from partners who are working to improve the employee experience for their customers. With this feature, anyone integrating a system can now configure webhook listeners to enable apps to provide near real-time data to their end users. This is relevant because end users often need to see updated information as it occurs. It’s one more step toward supporting as many systems as possible to enable greater productivity without adding complexity. Check out Citrix Docs for more information on webhook listeners.

Bundle repository

With the new bundle repository for template integrations and out-of-the-box microapps, users can set up template integrations while partners, developers, and customers can share their integrations and microapps for everyone to use.

Along with the bundle repository release, we’ve made the new HTTP ServiceNow template available, delivering stronger integration and allowing for more configuration capabilities that your organization might require for its specific purposes, with a set-up process that is as easy as ever. This template comes with additional microapps for enabling notifications and workflows for ServiceNow approvals, requests, change requests, delegates, incidents, and problems. For more information on integrating this template, see our guidance for integrating ServiceNow. For complete details about the new ServiceNow microapps now available, check out the Use ServiceNow microapps section on Citrix Docs.

Wait. There’s More!

Our previously released table merging capability enables you to get all the data you need to build microapps. But we have more to help you get started. We’ve added a step-by-step guide for more complex use cases as an appendix to table merging. Adding a feature for users to ensure data is fully in sync before an action execution is another pearl from our June release list. Go to the Configure the integration page on Citrix Docs for more information. And, finally, to support performance, we’ve made it possible to configure rate limiting when setting up your HTTP integrations. This way, in case you are integrating a system that supports a limited number of API requests per unit of time, you can limit the number of requests HTTP sends. Learn more here.

We continue to grow our microapp platform capabilities, providing our partners and our community of developers with the additional functionality they need to deliver seamless experiences to the Citrix Workspace end user. Keep up to date with what’s new here.
