Citrix is committed to delivering value-add services to Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly Intune) and the broader Microsoft 365 suite of product offerings.

To showcase this commitment at Microsoft Ignite, Citrix is announcing that on-premises Citrix Gateway customers with active maintenance now have the ability to utilize Citrix Endpoint Management micro VPN technology with on-premises resources at no additional cost.

“Citrix micro VPN technology is a unique industry differentiator designed to balance secure access with optimal user experience. We are excited to extend this capability to both Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly Microsoft Intune) and Citrix customers via this Citrix Gateway promotion to showcase how Citrix is committed to extending Microsoft Endpoint Manager value-add within our digital workspace strategy,” said PJ Hough, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, at Citrix.

Companies want to empower their users to access on-premises resources, such as intranet services, from their mobile devices. This needs to be as simple as possible for the user, and the traffic needs to be secure to protect data in transit.

Citrix micro VPN technology provides an on-demand VPN that reduces data transfer costs and simplifies security because the VPN tunnel isn’t always active. Instead, it’s only active when needed, which reduces risk and optimizes the performance of the device for a better user experience. This also helps improve mobile battery life. The micro VPN technology from Citrix is an industry-leading solution designed to provide mobile users with secure access to internal business resources while delivering the best user experience.

Unlike most vendors who offer full VPN or per-app VPN solutions, Citrix micro VPN technology from Citrix Endpoint Management can do both and allow a per-app, on-demand VPN, which is an unmatched advantage in the industry.

This announcement represents a new milestone in the Citrix and Microsoft partnership as we continue to work together to deliver cloud solutions for a secure digital workspace. With over half a million joint customers, Microsoft and Citrix together are uniquely positioned and aligned to empower a cloud-enabled, mobile workforce.

“This announcement illustrates Citrix’s long-standing partnership with Microsoft and continued commitment to the value of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Microsoft, and Citrix customers are uniquely positioned to empower their cloud-enabled, mobile-first workforce,” said Brad Anderson, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Corp.
