Citrix enjoys giving back to our communities through our Simply Serve programs. And every year at Citrix Synergy, we provide fun opportunities for attendees to network with customers and colleagues and to give back through onsite volunteer activities.

If you’re a regular Synergy attendee, you’re sure to remember our Battle Bots competitions in 2017 and 2018. It’s an exciting way for us bring smart, talented kids together to build robots and compete. The rules are simple: last bot standing (and moving) wins. Students win by pushing their opponents off the board or by disabling their opponent’s bot so they can’t move. You can check out photos from last year’s competition here.

This year, at Citrix Synergy 2019, we’ll play host to 40 students from two Atlanta-area high schools who will assemble robots and unleash their creations to battle at the Simply Serve booth. The students will wear a specially designed Battle Bots T-shirt created by our own product design expert Sonny Chhen.

Synergy attendees can register to help mentor the teams during the building phase and competition. Battle Bots seating is first come, first served.

Come by the Simply Serve booth (Building C, Level 1, Hall C2, Synergy Park) and check out the action from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

Help Assemble STEM kits

Can’t make the Battle Bots competition? You can still contribute and make a difference.

We’ll also have opportunities to help assemble 1,500 STEM kits in partnership with the United Way of Greater Atlanta, with a goal of engaging more students in science and math.

Come by the Simply Serve booth (Building C, Level 1, Hall C2, Synergy Park) and pitch in from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.

Use #CitrixSynergy on Social Media to Support Nonprofits

Finally, you can help our two nonprofit partners — the United Way of Greater Atlanta and HeatSync Labs — by simply using the hashtag #CitrixSynergy when you tweet and post to Facebook and Instagram. Citrix will donate $1 for every tweet and Facebook and Instagram post that uses the #CitrixSynergy hashtag, up to $50,000.

Citrix’s Chief People Officer Donna Kimmel will present the donation check to our nonprofit partners on Thursday, May 23, at 3:45 p.m. in the Simply Serve booth.

Join us at Citrix Synergy 2019 and see how giving a just little can make a big difference.
