Meet the Citrix Innovation Award Finalists.

The real-world benefits of our technology is best seen through the eyes of our customers.

That’s why we invite you each year to celebrate Citrix Innovation Award finalists and to cast your vote for your favorite contender for the award in time for the final countdown during Citrix Synergy.

For 2017, the quantity (and caliber) of nominations was at an all-time high in response to our call for award submissions. Our evaluated entries from commercial, non-profit and governmental enterprises in a diverse set of end markets, including education, financial services, government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and transportation. We were inspired by exceptional stories of how this year’s nominees are using virtualization, networking and file-sharing technology to drive innovation, simplify IT, and create the future of work.

Get Ready to Cast Your Vote!

What happens next is up to you. Starting on May 15, 2017, you can take a look at behind-the-scenes videos at www.citrix.com/innovation and cast your online vote for the Citrix Innovation Award winner.

For now, here’s a snapshot of their innovation stories:

Boskalis (Papendrecht, Netherlands) operates in 90 countries across six continents, with a versatile fleet of 900 vessels and floating equipment and nearly 12,000 employees to provide global dredging and offshore contract and maritime services. Boskalis has more than 100 years of experience in maintaining the highest safety and sustainability standards in hydraulic engineering, coastal protection, and land reclamation. It was an easy choice for Boskalis to choose a Citrix-Microsoft solution for Windows 10 virtual desktops on Microsoft Azure with Citrix for secure delivery of apps and data to its global work force. By streamlining core business processes, the company has significantly improved the workplace experience for its employees while driving productivity and efficiencies.

SCL Health (Broomfield, Colorado – USA) is a faith-based nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to improving the health of the people and communities it serves, especially the poor and vulnerable. Its $2.5 billion health network aspires to provide comprehensive, coordinated care through its 13 hospitals, 210 physician clinics, home health care, hospice, mental health care, and safety-net services in Colorado, Kansas and Montana. Its mission is to “reimagine healthcare” by connecting its patients to compassionate healing, when and where they need it. To that end, the organization has adopted a cloud-first strategy with Citrix Workspace Suite to automate workflows and processes with secure file sharing; support mobility across distributed facilities (clinicians, remote workers, administrative personnel); and implement better utilization of big data and analytics for predictive diagnosis and treatments.

Altogether, this has led to better outcomes for patients and hospital staff alike, while enabling the organization to flexibly and securely scale its operations to serve a broader base of communities with micro-hospitals (satellite facilities, community hospitals, etc.) in compliance with healthcare industry standards.

Tiger Resort, Okada Manila (Entertainment City, Manila – Philippines) is a world-class resort set on 44 acres against the backdrop of the Manila Bay with a full complement of onsite guest services for dining, gaming, wellness (dental, medical), entertainment, shopping — even a private marina. To create the highest quality experience for its guests, the organization sought a best-in-class, integrated IT solution for guest services, casino operations, and administrative staff (front- and back-office) that would also enhance executive and employee mobility. With Citrix Workspace Suite, NetScaler and Cisco ACI (application-centric infrastructure) for virtualization, file sharing, and networking, Tiger Resort can trust that all apps and data are securely and reliably delivered on demand to its workforce, no matter where they may be on the property, within a scalable networking environment with data redundancy for emergency backup and recovery purposes.

Please join me next month to hear, firsthand, from our 2017 Citrix Innovation Award finalists and to celebrate their success at the most customer-centric Citrix Synergy yet.
