The only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts including Accounting Today, Associated Press, Computerworld, eWeek, Forbes InformationWeek, Network World, Wired and Wall Street Journal, the Best in Biz Awards honor companies, teams, executives and products for their business success.
The sixth annual program in North America garnered more than 600 entries from an impressive array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries and geographic regions in the U.S. and Canada.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that Citrix ShareFile has been named the Gold winner in the Best New Product of the Year under the Enterprise category in the Best in Biz Awards 2016.
We are honored to receive this award as it reflects the innovation, rich feature set and complete document workflow capabilities that ShareFile delivers. The momentum of Citrix ShareFile continues at a rapid pace; we’ve surpassed 80,000+ business customers and now have more than 20 million users in 168 countries. Today, 99 percent of the Fortune 500 are represented in the ShareFile user base.
“If companies are going to stand out from the crowd and remain competitive in future years, innovation is key. The market is tough and there is no guarantee that today’s dominant players will remain so — unless time and effort are concentrated on research and development,” said Charlie Osborne, ZDNet, one of Best in Biz Awards’ judges this year. “This year’s entries in Best in Biz Awards highlighted not only innovative business practices but the emergence of next-generation technologies which will keep companies current and relevant.”
Key ShareFile differentiators include:
Data Source Choice
Access and share all of your documents with ShareFile, even if your files are stored in many places, such as your company’s network or in the cloud. You can share not only from ShareFile, but also from Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, or network file shares. Companies may want to host their own data for various reasons. To do this, an enterprise creates what’s called a StorageZone in its data center. A StorageZone is a Citrix ShareFile feature providing remote access to users. A StorageZone also has the ability to connect to other applications through StorageZone Connectors including SharePoint, Office 365, Documentum, and Box.
Document Workflows & Collaboration
Stop endless email chains and save storage space by reducing the number of messages with bulky attachments. Collaborate and gather document feedback, approvals and electronic signatures – all within ShareFile’s web interface. With the ability to set due dates and view file status at any time, users can track feedback and approvals in real-time. Co-authoring takes collaboration to the next level, allowing multiple users to edit Office documents within the ShareFile web application in a single session.
Secure File Sharing
Point. Click. Share. That’s how simple it is for you, your colleagues and your customers to securely share files. ShareFile provides industry leading security, audit and compliance controls so you can be confident you are sharing safely. With Information Rights Management, documents can be secured even after they are downloaded to a user’s device, meaning data security is no longer at risk once a user has a copy of a file locally. Instead security lives directly within the file. ShareFile also integrates with leading DLP solutions so customers can apply the same data security policies across their organization, regardless of how data is shared. Reporting, file expiration policies, DLP, view-only sharing are all available through ShareFile and its connected data sources.
