The concept of digital business transformation is one that Citrix is paying close attention to, and we are especially interested in the role that the Internet of Things (IoT) will play in the digital transformation of the business and how we work.

The rise of this transformation poses interesting questions: will this transformation impact all industries equally? Will there be some that adapt faster than others? Will all industries embrace IoT as part of their digital transformation journey?

That is a question Citrix has been evaluating for Higher Education. Historically, Higher Education has been viewed as an industry that is slow to adapt to change. If digital transformation continues to accelerates, and IoT pushes this transformation with new devices and use cases, can education keep up? Our conversations with various colleges and universities have revealed a wide acceptance that education needs to adapt to digital transformation. We continue to hear that this transformation will be a critical factor into how student success is measured and how students are engaged on and off the campus. But many understandably have questions on what is the best way to do this, how can they keep pace with rapid change without sacrificing the quality of education?
