Mac OS 10.12—codenamed Sierra—has landed. Citrix is happy to say that Receiver 12.3 for Mac also drops today with support for Sierra.
In addition to the support for the latest macOS, we’ve include a couple of other notable features:
Background applications alerts
When published applications, like Skype for Business, are running in the background or minimized, notifications from these applications are indicated by a bouncing icon in the Mac dock.
Session Reliability and Auto Client Reconnect Improvements
The improvements are related to the ability to configure session reliability (SR) and auto client reconnect (ACR) policy. Starting with XenApp and XenDesktop 7.11 and above, Citrix Receiver for Mac allows administrators to configure the following settings using Citrix Studio policy:
- Session reliability timeout
- Auto client reconnect timeout
- Reconnect user interface transparency level
The engineers responsible for developing these features have created a series of great technical blog posts that drill into these features in greater detail. They will follow shortly.
