When I think about attending a conference, I always ask myself the same questions. What is the value of being there? Why is it worth it to attend? Should I spend my limited travel budget here? If the event checks all the boxes, I am ready to pack my bags and go.
For Citrix Summit 2017, January 9–11 in Anaheim, California, the first thing you’d want to know is, “Will Summit increase my knowledge and improve my ability to do my job?” Naturally, I think the answer to this is yes. So, I’d like to highlight some things that I think are important for you to know so you can make your own decision. I hope you join us.
New training approach
We are committed to making this the best Summit ever. We’re aligning sessions to Sales Plays, and teaching you the way you want to learn. That means we’ll show you how to identify opportunities around specific scenarios that fit your solution, so that you only pursue those opportunities that you can compete on in the market. It’s a structured approach to customers’ considered needs that results in greater profits and more productivity for you and your team with your accounts.
You’ve also asked us to make the technical content more challenging. This year, for the first time, Citrix Technology Professionals (CTPs) will validate the 300- and 400-level tech sessions to make sure they are sharp. And, since demos are the best way to show how Citrix solutions can address a customer business problem or need, we’re bringing in the winners of our internal Citrix Demo Warrior Competition to present sessions in the Solutions Demo Sandbox on how to best show off our technology.
First-timers, we’ll give you 1:1 guidance on what to attend and how to take advantage of everything Summit has to offer with our new Summit Compass program. It starts the night before the opening keynote with the Compass Networking Reception to get you ready for a robust Summit by talking through your schedule with Citrites and Citrix leaders.
Many people attend Summit because of the structured lab trainings—Instructor-led Learning Labs are one of the most popular events, and we’ll continue to run this as a preconference workshop so you can do some intensive training before you focus on Summit sessions and networking. Registration for the labs go live in mid-October with the session catalog, so keep an eye out and don’t miss out on signing up since the program fills up quickly.
In the keynotes, you’ll hear from the Citrix leadership team about the go-to-market strategy, about new technology, and about our alliance partners who add such value to the Citrix portfolio and how it will impact your profitability and drive real business opportunity for you next sales cycle.
Summit also will have sessions on soft skills that are not Citrix-focused, but that are designed to build skills that will help you in your career beyond your relationship with us.
On the fun side, we have a fantastic Partner Appreciation Party planned with good music, good food and a street-party atmosphere so we can relax and enjoy one another’s company.
All of Summit is going to be worthwhile—I hope I’ve made a good case for the value of the conference. Your success is our first priority, and I hope to see you in Anaheim next January. Registration just opened, so take advantage of the Early Bird rate and register today at www.citrixsummit.com.
