We just returned from Cisco Live! Las Vegas, where we showcased technology-driven solutions, powered by the Citrix and Cisco, that enable digital business transformation for our customers. When it comes to learning about technology for the data center, with estimated attendance of 28,000, Cisco Live! was the place to be!
Live from the show floor, Steve Coulter from Cisco interviewed Raj Gulani, Senior Director of Product Management, Data Networking, Citrix and Calvin Hsu, VP Product Marketing, Workspace Services, Citrix. They talked about our secure app and data delivery solutions based on Citrix NetScaler, XenDesktop, and XenApp along with Cisco ACI, Cisco UCS, and Cisco HyperFlex.
Interview from Cisco Live with Raj Gulani for Citrix NetScaler and Calvin Hsu for Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp
As Steve says, the mission of Citrix is to power a world where people, organizations and things are securely connected and fully accessible to make the extraordinary possible. These solutions are customer-driven; the technology enables the transformation of the business. They are software-first, which allows us to rapidly innovate and they are programmable so that customers can adapt them to work in any environment or location.
Two major solutions showcased at Cisco Live, XenDesktop and XenApp on Hyperflex and NetScaler with ACI
The value of our solution, Citrix XenApp, on the Cisco Hyperflex platform is that we help customers drive toward simplicity with a modular solution that is ready to go and easy to deploy. It can be scaled up in an automated way with just the resources that customers need to run their XenApp applications in a predictable way without over provisioning.
From a networking perspective, we showed NetScaler CPX, which is designed for use in containerized environments and NetScaler Management and Analytics System (NetScaler MAS) which provides a single point for configuring, orchestrating, and monitoring NetScaler across all platforms and environments. Citrix continues to innovate further with Cisco ACI – we are integrating with Cisco CliQr to provide application workflow orchestration for traditional workloads and containerized workloads in the private public and hybrid cloud.
Citrix featured as a key partner in the Cisco Digital Network Architecture for our integration with Cisco APIC – EM
In “The Future of the Network is Here,” David Goeckeler, SVP and GM, Networking and Security Business Group, Cisco called out Citrix as a key partner in the Cisco Digital Enterprise Network Architecture (DNA) for our integration with the Cisco APIC – EM. His presentation featured a video endorsement from Raj Gulani, Senior Director of Product Management, Delivery Networks at Citrix who speaks to the benefits of DNA to our joint customers with our integrated solution offerings.
The Cisco Digital Network Architecture is an open, extensible and software-driven architecture that enables new digital applications for digital business – across your workforce, customer experiences and business operations. It enables simplification of network operations with automation and orchestration. And it enables security of the enterprise with the network as a security control point for both sensing and enforcement. Software innovations within Cisco DNA include automation, analytics, virtualization and cloud services.
Everyone likes a good presentation and a raffle.
