Chromebooks with XenApp market momentum continues to accelerate with a number of new customer wins across industries.

2016 kicked off with Chromebooks featured in the Citrix Summit keynote as a fully featured platform to enable new app virtualization use cases in our increasingly cloud-and-mobile-first world. Chromebooks deliver a compelling set of enterprise and user benefits focused on speed, simplicity, security and a seamless experience.

Starting today in Atlanta, Google will hold a series of Chrome Immersion Roadshows in US offices. The series will continue over the next few weeks. If you are interested and near one of the cities below, register and join Citrix, HP and Intel at the following Google office locations;

These will be informative half-day events showcasing the new capabilities of Chrome devices, infrastructure and apps, and highlighted by demos of the new Receiver for Chrome. Google and Citrix will also showcase a number of Google-designed enterprise work vignettes demonstrating how “Chrome and Citrix Works for You.”

The user experience on Receiver for 2.0 is stunning. Since the beginning of the year, I have used a Dell Chromebook 13 with an Intel Core i5 processor as my day-to-day work and play device. I will admit the ability to boot and be up and running with my virtual apps – from anywhere – in less than 20 seconds is making me a bit spoiled and usually forces me to leave my MacBook safely tucked away at home whenever I am on the go.

With a new Chrome OS every six weeks and a quarterly Receiver for Chrome update, the already impressive user experience I am enjoying gets better and better by the month.  The improvements since last summer put Receiver for Chrome on par or ahead of other endpoint Receivers. Read Vipin Borkar’s outstanding post, which highlights all the new features of the new Receiver for Chrome 2.0 offering.

Last week, Google held a launch event in NYC featuring a series of new devices including the enterprise ready HP Chromebook 13. Read the Google for Work official blog here. Mainstream press and bloggers are raving about the new HP device. Such as this article from Fortune, which also highlights the new Citrix Receiver.

Finally, Google will once again be a sponsor at Citrix Synergy later this month. So, whether you join us by webinar, roadshow or at Synergy we look forward to meeting and talking with customers and partners throughout the month of May.
