It’s difficult to describe just how transformative the energy was at Citrix Summit 2016. Partners heard the #CitrixPartnerLove message loud and clear, and the focus on core products really resonated with all of you. Everyone was excited by the pace of innovation and the focus on use cases that build our presence in vertical and horizontal markets.

Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to meet with many of you and get direct feedback on Citrix vision and the new management team’s strategy. We were absolutely serious when we said that 2016 is going to be a year of growth and innovation, and it started off strong at Summit. Some of the highlights and next-steps:

Focus on growth with core technologies

For more than 25 years, the Citrix focus has been on secure app and data delivery, which has given us a market lead that’s recognized by customers, analysts and the press.

In 2015, as corporate vice president and acting general manager of Workspace Services Bill Burley explained in the General Session keynote, the pace of innovation was three times what it was the previous year. As a result, one of Summit’s big announcements was not one but two new versions of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop as well as the first-ever Long Term Service Release.

Other major Summit announcements included a v2 solution for Skype for Business, XenMobile unified endpoint management for Windows 10 and Mac OS X devices, and new pricing for Citrix Workspace Cloud. Continuous improvement and our renewed focus on core products help your customers stay competitive.

Land and expand

We’re heading into a new sales cycle with the goal of landing new customers, expanding the Citrix footprint at existing customers—and partnering for success. Summit gave us the opportunity to show you exactly how we plan to support you in kicking off successful sales conversations and winning new business.

Kimberly Martin, our vice president of partner sales and strategy, explained that Citrix will have a laser focus on the $6 billion opportunity in the mid-market. It’s a huge growth opportunity for all of us, and to help you land your share of this segment, Summit introduced new partner success kits, built around horizontal and vertical use cases. From Windows 10 migration—expected to be the most rapid OS migration in history—to secure remote access, these success kits include key resources and turnkey marketing campaigns around the topics that your customers are most focused on, all with localized versions available.

Success kits for selling into key markets including financial services as well as healthcare  (25% of the mid-market opportunity!) were also announced with more coming soon. Get your hands on these resources today on Citrix SalesIQ.

Experience the best of Summit

Join us for a special episode of Citrix Channel News on Feb. 10th – we’ll be revisiting top level initiatives introduced at Summit in an informal chat with senior Citrix executives – an opportunity exclusive to our channel partners. (Register and join early – limited space!)

Because so much happens on-site, we’ve created SummitToGo to keep the momentum going. The General Session and Tech Talk keynote are available on demand, along with breakout sessions and speaker presentations. Check out the SummitToGo Guide to create your own agenda to share with your team and align your sales approach to Citrix business strategies for big 2016 wins.

I hope you’ll make a plan bring your customers to Citrix Synergy 2016, May 24-26 in Las Vegas, and to join us next year at Citrix Summit 2017, January 9–11 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

I look forward to a successful 2016!
