Supporting the communities where we live and work, especially to encourage education and to help families in need, is a big part of being a Citrite (what we lovingly call the folks who work here).
Citrix makes it easy for us to give back (one of the best parts of working here, and that’s really saying something!) – the Simply Serve program gives every full-time permanent employee 16 paid hours to volunteer for the nonprofit organization of their choice. Global Day of Impact group volunteer activities are organized in each office. The Simply Give program enables employees to double their dollars for good causes – donations to eligible nonprofits are matched, up to USD 1,000 per employee per year.
Citrix helps us support the organizations we care about, when we want, how we want. How cool is that?!
October was “Pinktober” at Citrix
Citrites the world over unleashed their creativity for women’s health in October and raised over $42,000 (USD) for research to stamp out women’s cancers and to support those in treatment. Executive Sponsor Kim Hibler led the charge for this first-ever Pinktober movement. Corporate Citizenship and WIN teamed up to engage 14 of our offices on 5 continents to support 15 charities. Activities ranged from Pink Yoga to Bake Sales to a Creativity Showcase to packing Care Kits for cancer patients to runs, walks and more!
November is all about Men’s Cancers with Movember
November’s charge is to raise funds for men’s health. Jesse Lipson, Executive Sponsor for Movember, invited all employees to “ditch the razor, sprout a ‘stache, and spark a conversation about men’s health” with this global fundraiser organized by the Movember Foundation which has raised more than $649 million to fund 832 men’s health programs in 21 countries since 1999. Funds raised are dedicated to prostate and testicular cancer research and awareness.
Can we beat the USD 60,000 raised by Citrites in 2014? There are already 17 teams and 120 members signed up for the fun. We’re off to a great start!
Support the moustache! Growing a moustache and wearing it proudly for one month is no small task. Sometimes people need a little financial encouragement to keep growing. Donate directly to your favorite team or MoBro (and there are plenty of places to do this, whether you’re a Citrix employee or not!)
We’re proud of our company and the people who work here. Citrix is a great place to work, not just because it’s brimming over with smart people building smart technologies, but because those people are awesome. Our team and the culture that’s fostered at Citrix make each and everyone who works here beam with pride and to live the #CitrixLife.
