The best relationships grow stronger with time. That’s why I’m excited to celebrate the Citrix partnership of 22 years with Choice Solutions, a Platinum Citrix Solution Advisor based in Overland Park, Kansas, that has thrived along with Citrix for more than two decades.

While benefiting from the expanding Citrix portfolio to grow its business, Choice Solutions has returned the favor by contributing channel insights and expertise as a member of the Platinum Advisory Council. The partner also boasts two solution architects who were awarded elite Citrix Technology Professional status.

President and CEO Jim Steinlage recalled the shared journey.

“As one of the first Citrix partners in the Central United States, we started with WinView in 1993. Since that time, we’ve seen Citrix advance its offering from a single remote access point product to an end-to-end suite of solutions. This strategic expansion has allowed us to solve increasingly complex business challenges, leading to large and significant wins across the country.”

Making a clean sweep of Citrix Specialist 

Throughout the partnership, Choice Solutions has taken pride in its technical expertise, together with a thorough understanding of each customer’s business and IT strategy.

With its long history of expanding in step with Citrix, it was no surprise that Choice Solutions jumped at the opportunity to become a Citrix Specialist partner and obtained specialization designation in Virtualization, Mobility Management, Networking for Apps & Mobile Security and Networking for Data Center.

Steinlage explained, “We wanted to challenge our engineers and the company. Not only did we earn all four specializations in a short period, we used different engineers for each competency.”

Citrix Specialization strengthens and reinforces our partnership with Citrix.

In addition, every new team member is required to earn the Citrix Certified Sales Professional credential as part of the onboarding process.

Choice Solutions also takes full advantage of other Citrix channel offerings, including MarketingIQ, co-op funds and joint events. “We conduct more than 30 Citrix events annually and participate in Citrix Synergy every year,” said Robin Rottinghaus, director of marketing.

Advising Citrix on the channel

Over the years, Choice Solutions has been deeply involved in development of Citrix channel initiatives. “We participated in the design of Citrix Advisor Rewards and also the current Subscription Advantage Renewals program to protect renewal revenue for partners. Citrix was very interested in our input and implemented a number of our recommendations. We believe CAR and SAR are the best in the industry.”

Leading with virtualization 

Choice Solutions positions the company as a virtualization consultancy. “Like Citrix, Choice is a virtualization pioneer. We see Citrix technologies as the fuel to drive efficient business functions and create new ways to work better,” Steinlage concluded.
