We are fast approaching Citrix Mobility 2015 Toronto where experts and IT professionals will gather to explore and discuss the future of mobility. As we discovered in my previous blog, enabling a mobile workforce requires the consideration of many factors. This is why we’ve created Citrix Mobility – a one day, one stop, all-encompassing resource centre for business leaders who want to learn the ins and outs of mobilizing their workforce and the latest trends in mobility.

This year we’re proud to be hosting four breakout sessions which will cover a wide range of topics presented by Citrix experts, customers and partners. These sessions are a must-see in order to gain a better understanding of the workspace innovation and productivity that mobile technology enables.

Here are a few sessions I am looking forward to this year:

  • Using Mobile Workspaces to Deliver Business Mobility hosted by Natalie Lambert, Senior Director, Workspace Marketing
With the increasing demand for greater work flexibility, businesses need to determine how to securely provide employees with business apps and data whenever, wherever and on the device of their choosing. Natalie will discuss how organizations are mobilizing their workforce through mobile workspaces.
  • How to Build a Solid BYO Policy and Mitigate Security Risks hosted by Kurt Roemer, Chief Security Strategist
As employees become more tech savvy, they’re bringing their own software, systems and other technologies into the workplace to allow themselves to work more efficiently. This brings new security risks and challenges for IT to keep company data and systems secure. Kurt will provide his recommendations for how organizations can mitigate security risks while experiencing the benefits of a BYO environment.
  • Health Information Technology Services Transforming Healthcare Services Delivery hosted by Mark Farrow, VP, CIO of Hamilton Health Services                     Like many businesses, Hamilton Health Services (HHS) was contending with limited budgets while still feeling the pressure to improve and expand its technology capabilities. In this session, Mark will discuss how, through the use of Citrix technology, the hospital transformed it’s IT department into a revenue generating ITaaS provider, and how mobile technology is helping HHS bring care and medical information right to the patient’s bedside. For more information on this, check out my previous blog to learn more.
  • Making VDI Invisible hosted by Andrew Mills, Senior Manager of VDI Alliances at Nutanix                                                                                                                                    The final breakout session, Making VDI Invisible will be presented by Andrew Mills, Senior Manager of VDI Alliances at Nutanix, partner of Citrix. This session will delve into how to make infrastructure simpler and meet business needs fluidly.

The breakout sessions will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm. These are just a few of the insightful discussions we’ll be hosting at Citrix Mobility Toronto. I hope to see you there.
